hi jamie we are going on iona in just over 2wks , we will be booking some extra pay restaurants but i'm really confused as to which ones are really worth the experience, any advice? this will be our first time on iona but our 2nd ever cruise last year we traveled on ventura and found the whole experience just magical , it was also my first ever time abroad and what a better way to start then to visit not just 1 place but 4 different ports love watching your videos definitely giving me ideas of things i'd like to experience if my husband lets me that is

Great part 1. Spotted myself a couple of times (Crows Nest meet-up and silent disco!). Loved the look of Bremen. I wasn’t brave enough to diy it by train ourselves. Sophie and I did the Klimahaus in Bremerhaven which was really enjoyable but would definitely look at getting to Bremen if there was a next time.

Jamie we loved this!!! Reliving our trip all over again. You do such a brilliant job of explaining so many processes on board and gave some amazing tips. Ooo like a virgin - Madonna! Ah we saw ourselves swimming! Cracking pipes on you Jamie! Hope your man cold didn't turn into man flu - we've heard that's deadly! Ok how did you avoid the rain in Bremen!!! We got soaked! On your recommendation , I tried the dhosa and it was yummy, I had the fillet steak and that was wonderful too. I think you had quite a lucky break going to Bremen. Better than Hamburg , perhaps they might change the future visits.

We’re on the Iona when you’re getting on the Arcadia in May (I’ll wave if I see you). I like to get on the ship and book what I can’t book from home. I’m sure I can navigate around the ‘app thats not an app’ but with having to get the last four digits from your key card do you have to wait until you can get to your room? On royal Caribbean that’s not until about 2:30 😢

That was not how the North Sea was in February 2022 🤢 admittedly we were cruising Norway but oh my goodness it was rough at times. We couldn’t make anticipated speed due to the weather and everything breakable was moved to the floor and balcony furniture was tied up!

We had some calm moments but as someone who suffers from seasickness coming back to the furniture all tied up was “concerning “ 😂 I basically mainlined Stugeron the whole trip. It didn’t put me off and we are due to cross from Iceland to Faroe and eventually Norway this year so I’ll just pack plenty of seasickness tablets - just in case because as you say, you can never tell.
