“Anything but drinking was going to be positive.” That’s a perfect representation of what this feels like. So happy for you, how you’re doing right now. Keep it up!

Congrats! Putting those first few days/weeks of sobriety between me and the alcohol was always the hardest for me. Once you establish new habits it gets a little easier.

Great work! Day, by day, by day. For me, it’s not about motivation. It’s about reframing what alcohol is to me, which is an absolute poison that destroys everything important in my life. Exercise is also super important, like it is for you. Filling up life with positive energy that produces results will hopefully put you over the top. You are on your way!

Im 32 days sober. I went 5 months last year and for whatever reason it was so easy last year. This time around was significantly more challenging.

Whenever I get sober (I have many times as I'm sure most who try to escape alcohol have) I always find my cravings mirror my useage. So I only really feel it on weekends and on my time off work. It's a paradox because work keeps me busy, but as time goes on without a break stress can build up leading me to want to drink and then when I do have time off I'm straight down the pub. I recognise my issue, but am yet to solve it. I think you're wise not saying "You'll never drink again" because we all (myself included when I say that) know that that could well be a lie. But maybe you don't need to say it for it to become true this time. Or next time. Good luck bro. Onwards and upwards.

I encourage sobriety forever one day at a time. I’ve been sober five years and my mind is calm. I feel fully and no longer store emotions it’s about feeling fully and finding joy in the little things.

Day 18 for me. Skin on my face is smoother. More energy. Mental clarity. Much less (almost no) bleeding when brushing/flossing. Higher HRV. Can’t think of any negatives except boredom. Cheers!

Keep up the good work! Personally, my hardest struggle was the boredom. Forming new habits, ways to fill your time and just ways to tough out those moments is key, in my opinion. Four years sober here. Good luck.

I did 53 days off and drank the last two days. It’s not a big problem I’ll likely stop drinking again. Hopefully you’ll stop if you don’t doesn’t matter stop best time. Just don’t pressure it

Awesome. Youre young. Dont waste your time, your health, your happiness, family suffering, with alcohol. I've lost a lot of time, damaged my health, my relationship with my father, some irreparable. My son won't talk to me anymore. I wish I could turn back time and do it all over. But it is what it is. What I made him into. It's all my fault.
