1 Year Guitar Progress/Self Taught Guitarist

I'VE PLAYED HOTEL CALIFORNIA
Here is my 1 year progress of playing guitar. I'm pretty happy with the result and i'm sure anyone can reach that.Just be patience:)

U must practice like 8 hours a day. U have a very good grasp of rhythm right out the gate and your picking is extremely clean, your bends are on point as well.

I was one of the lucky people who naturally had good rhythm and timing which is why I’ve never really had to worry about that. My main issue was reading tabs so I eventually learnt by ear and sight about 5 to 6 months in which was hard at first but now is somewhat easy to a certain extent

Just started playing literally yesterday, was feeling a little discouraged at how hard it is for me to get my fret hand moving correctly, but this is very inspiring. At just one week you started to sound quite competent. Just goes to show that anyone can learn an instrument, you just have to put in the effort.

Fuck yah i'm learning a song ,for 3 months i think. When i started playing it and after 1 week i was fucks this shit haha,but i know that's hard but you need to practice everyday and dont give up if dont get that riff . I'm with 90% almost done of learn the complete song but i need get rythm and solve issues with my fingers . But at start it's hurts your fingers and because of this you could think that you cant play it . Like i dont take seriously when i started to play ,i dont give up because of "it's hard"i just played to get fun and after that i got this

@@antoniotunico5892 Yeah. I know i can become a good player, it's all just about dedication and putting in the time. Whenever I listen to something I think to myself "I will be able to play this song someday if I just put in the effort." And that's how I motivate myself.

I've been playing for over 20 years and I can honestly say that you're a much better guitarist when it comes to the electric. On the acoustic I'm still ahead because I've been playing finger picking stuff for ages but amazing progress overall. Hard work really does pay off.

Just wow man, I picked up guitar last year for a class in school but don't have that class this year so I kinda haven't had time for it, seeing this has made me decide to start making time for it again. I've wanted to play a few songs like that hotel California solo you did, Lynird Skynird, Robert Johnston, and scorpions that I haven't gotten to yet, thanks for the motivation!

@@unknown001w It's never too late and not at all at age 22. I just really committed to it about 2 years ago and I'm 28. Made good progress so far and absolutely love it. It's something I'm looking forward to everyday. It gives you a lot of joy. There was an asian guy who just started playing the piano at the beginning of his 20's. By the end of his 20's he became one of the best jazz pianists in the world. So don't give up because of your age and don't listen to people who tell you to keep away from your joy. What's your life worth if you have all the money but no joy in your life. Do what makes you happy.

This is very inspiring. I am 22 and began playing 03.12., so 2 days ago. I already got D, A, E and Em down alright, cant change chords fast but getting there, I am using JustinGuitar youtube lessons right now. Can't play any songs yet, but working on it, I should also try playing tabs soon. Liked the Hotel California bit a lot!
