Looks like we started in similar ways. Once I grabbed a HS1250, it was a total game changer. Started connecting double and triples and quadruples all day.

Great videos! Keep up the good work! You mentioned having the lift 200 v1 for a time. I started out on a friend’s slingshot and have been able prone foil, but not able to pump back yet. Just bought a used lift 200 v1 w/ 28inch mast. I weigh 188lbs. Any tips? Don’t even know if I have the right setup. Thanks!

Main tip is making sure your foil is in the right position on the board and just foiling a lot. The lift 200 is great for learning but you should probably move to a high aspect foil once advanced enough for maximum pump and glide

impressive progression at surf foiling im not even as good as your day one after around 15 session maybe more , weird thing iam wing foiling with no issue tho. what is your weight ? im using 1900cm2 wing from gong atm .
@justthewingtips2 жыл бұрын
I’m around 83 kg. I know a couple people that are super good with the wing and can tow foil but can’t prone. Definitely a challenge but worth it!

@@justthewingtips im 85kg so we are close, i started to wonder about having too much surface on the foil because i was kicked offf the water really quick. I though i could use the same foil for surf foiling and wing foiling but apparently it's might not be the better choice.
@justthewingtips2 жыл бұрын
@@youdigsurf depends on the waves. It’s fine for learning on but you’d have more fun on a smaller foil in the surf. If you haven’t already messed with the mast position, move it back and see if that helps.

Great video! Really appreciate your input and tips🤙. I am a similar weight to you and have been struggling with prone on my 1550v2 no worries if I’m on an SUP it occurred to me after your video that I may have too much surface area. Do you suggest I go 1250/925 or switch to another brand?” Since down winding is my ultimate goal too.
@justthewingtips2 жыл бұрын
No need to switch brands. 1550 will get you down winding no problem. But if you are going to go all in with Downwind eventually you'd probably want the 1125 or put in the time to learn to read bumps with the 1550 and go for the 925. Also mess with the tail shims and you could probably reduce some of the lift from the 1550.
