Well done, keep at it. The only advice i would offer, is on your picking. You pick down. alot. Even on your lead lines, it was all down picking. Try working on picking up and down, maybe not strictly, but it will make your playing get better on turbo mode. Been playing since 1984, still play every day :)

"One" is a kind of song that is easy to learn, but hard to perfect, especially the later parts of the song. One is in the top 5 songs for me tbh

So many questions. You play so well. Had you ever played an instrument before? Did you have a teacher. Did you learn any chords or scales? How did you know all the notes for the songs? Do you read tab or music? Sorry, just so amazing how well you play in a short period of time. How often and how long did you practice ?

Learning music is the same as leraning a language 1st lvl: If I don't know nothing about Sapnish, I know how to say "Hola, como estas?" but not its meaning, so yes, I know that but I dont know how to use it. 2nd lvl: Then the next level is knowing how to use it, that's to salute a person And the next level is knowing the words, Hola = Hello, how = como, are you? = estas? So I know its use and why its like that 1st lvl: Learning a song, its the same as learning the word, but not its meaning. Just knowing this finger do this, and then this. 2nd lvl: The song that im learning use this 3 chords, C, F and G, making a I IV V progression 3th lvl: Then the final level Im learning this song with 3 chords, C, F and G, CM Chord is composed by the notes C, E and G, then it goes to the IV grade of the scale CM scale, bringing some tension, FM, this chord it's composed by F, A and C... Etc... Te last one good to have but not necessary. So the first level is a good start for everyone, learning songs, like learning simple words, I dont know its meaning and how to use it but its a good start, this need A LOT of repetition, like making a C chords smothly 2nd lvl is the best: I know the chords of the songs (you can search it in google without a problem) which progression is using and the key of the song, this is basic stuff, but with it you can learn plenity of songs WITH TIME, like learning a lenguaje... It takes years of consistency to learn, but the good part of theory is knowing why this song works like this The third level is cuestioning every note of every chord, melody and scale etc... So much complex things, it's good for like knowing better a song, but no one will do that mid improvisation, imagine talking to someone and thinking every word you are saying? It's too much haha. Sorry for all of this, but is to give an exaplmple of learning. If you want to start, first learn some simple songs, like happy birthday or some simple melody or riff of a song you like. Then learn scales, I recomed you 2 scales, Pentatonic or major scale, I love the major scale becouse have more notes, so is more complex, the pentatonic have 5 notes, at the beginning learn the shapes, then learn which notes are you planning, becouse thats how that scale works. At the same time, learn the basic chords, like C, D, E, G and A, and afger learning that, learn the minor of Dm, Em and Am, all of this is basic. I know its seems like a lot, but the key is not to rush, take your time, with all I gaved you, you have some months to practice, you can practice 10 minutes a day if you want, consistency is the key And well, after all of that, you can lear a lot of songs. I hope it helps, sorry for all this text, is so long.

this is sick!! you actually made so much progress so fast thats crazy, this made me feel a little jelous because I've been playing guitar for 3 year and Im so far behind, I've fallen into the pit of just picking up the guitar and noodling without direction not learning anything new, thanks for giving me some motivation to get better :^)

im impressed. You might find it fun to pick up a baratone ukelele. It is tuned the same as a guitar, so scales and chords are pretty much the same. They are available in electric models as well. it is different than playing guitar however. due to the nature of the instrument there tends to be more an emphasis on economy of notes. Blues sounds great on it. I played both bass and guitar for 30 years. I sucked at it though. Over the last year I sold all of my guitars and have picked up on both tenor and baratone uke. Good luck with your playing.

Oops. I forgot to add this one bit. There are a lot of VERY inexpensive pedals ( $25 to $ 60 ) available. They are great for use in the bedroom, not so much for stage performance. I really like both Kmise as well as Donner pedals. There are reviews/demos available on KZbin. The most useful pedal I own is a Donner Harmonic Square. It allows among other things, to downtune without having to physically downtune your strings. It is a lot of fun. Also, very useful is TC electronic Wiretap Riff Recorder. This allows you to record and save riffs that you just happened to create. Have fun! P.S. My all time favorite guitarist is Wata from Japanese band Boris. If you have not heard her check her out. Guitar Goddess delux.
