Hey congratulations 👏 on one year with Marten and being debt free. I know that got to be a good feeling. What do you know about Team driving positions with Marten? Like pay, equipment, can they match you with a partner, do they have good cross country lanes for teams etc; appreciate anything you can find out. Looking seriously at going with Marten. I got a little over 6 months experience with Schneider and no permanent residence so I can domicile wherever my partner is but prefer Southern California.

I've been driving for PTL for going on 2 years now. Today is January 12th 2023 June 1st 2023 will make 2 years. Last year I made just over 51k Averaged about 1k a wk. Fucked most of it off in casinos...which I am NOT gonna do this year. But Im thinking about moving around. It's just gettin to be too much drama. Too much to mention. Main reason I wanted to work here is because of the ESOP. Bur I read that Marten offers ESOP too. I wish I had known that I would've been there a year ago. I hate to burn almost 2 years but if I don't move around now it'll be 4 years.. If Marten really guarentees 1350/1400 weekly. 70k-75k a year? Like they say they do on Google. Which I know PTL lies on Google. Talkin about 5k-7500 sign on bonus. That's a damn lie. I was suppose to get 2500 and I swear they only gave me 2 but whatever. They also say their drivers get between 2500-3000 miles a week. That is also false. I average about 18-2300 miles a week last several months. Maybe once a month you'll get 2800-3200. Sometimes back to back weeks. But like clockwork, soon as you get a couple good checks or one good one? You can beleive your next check won't be shit. So it kinda balances out. Anyway.. Don't believe everything you read on Google. You in for a sad surprise if you do. Word to ya Granny

@@charleethetrucker Sounds a lot better than the 6 hours it sometimes takes to get a load here at Covenant if something happened and your load was canceled or someone else picked it up( side note is that a normal thing? @@charleethetrucker My application for Marten just got accepted today I'm thinking about making the jump. I'm a chill guy and will put up with a lot but it's getting to be just not worth it. I'm in my 4th truck in 9 months and after two days its back at the dealership. A couple days ago I get towed to a dealer, and pick up a "fixed" truck there with more problems. Communication is terrible, you have to re-explain your problem every time you talk to someone, and its 45 minutes on hold every time you call during which twice this week the call was cut off. If you call back you're on hold in line again only once did the lady call me back said their system went down. I don't know what our fleet team actually does because you have to figure everything out yourself. They're just a phone exchange to give you a number of someone else to call. And once the person you were dealing with goes home for the day you have to start over. The new person doesn't even know you were having an issue. Its just crazy to me I don't know how they make any money. Is this normal with every company? Plus my co-drivers keep quitting I'm on my 3rd. It took them two days to get me a solo load to go back to the terminal to find a new partner this last time. Then the load they gave me was a high value for team only which I found out when I called for the security briefing and after I told the fleet team irc wouldn't let me run it for the stated reason they were surprised and it took another 2 hours to even confirm I wasn't allowed to run it and they took me off... The only time I've even asked for hometime was when my co-drivers had to go home so I put in my time to match theirs. I just want to be a solo otr driver with a dedicated route. Is that too much to ask for?
