On the night of June 6, 2023, a terrorist attack occurred at the Kakhovка dam.
This was a catastrophe of an enormous scale, affecting tens of thousands of people, countless animals, destroying or damaging the infrastructure of dozens of settlements.
As a result of this tragedy, our organisation and our volunteer units faced unprecedented challenges. Between 6 June 2023 to 31 August 2023 we helped with the evacuation of 410 people.
We spoke to our volunteers to find out how the terrorist attack affected their work, who they were able to help, and how today, the consequences of this attack are still to be resolved.
