Five and a half years and 87,000 kms and my 2020 M340 has been bulletproof. Pretty much no issues. And I’ve only owned only Japanese cars before that. Best car I’ve ever owned by far. All the power I’ll ever need while getting amazing fuel economy for an engine this powerful. Perfect daily for me in eastern Ontario.

Great review, thank you. I’ve had 2 B58s 2018 340i and a 21 440i and both have been stellar as far as reliability and overall build. The only reason I got rid of my 340i was because I wanted a coupe otherwise I’d still have it. I’ve been fortunate enough to have owned several BMWs over the years and really have not had any major issues at all where the cars have left me stranded. Yes follow the maintenance and you’ll be fine. Great cars.

Just ordered mine. Here in Aus you can only get xDrive w/adaptive suspension. Only options we have are paint, seats (black or oyster), wheels (non-runflats are standard)., M sport package pro. Everything else (eg Vernasca) is standard.

Bingo,😂 that's what I was thinking...I own a 2018 Mercedes-Benz, 59,000 miles, sweet car, looks brand new interior and exterior. Soon, I will purchase BMW, doing my research, listening to videos and BMW m340i owners. I am not sure if I would lean towards m340i which I really like this car, but I will know when I make my final decisions. Looking to purchase end of 2025 when 2026 are rolling out. I just had to say all this, to say, "when I watched the video, he mentioned he could not open door, even with his key on him". I said, "maybe, it's the battery in his key fob", needs replacing. This should have displayed on his dashboard, too. Again, it appears he needs to replace the battery. Go to BMW, they will replace it free.. I like his video by the way and these are his opinions. I like hearing pros and cons about m340i...Soon BMW owner..

you absolutley dont need the adaptive suspension. Owned a 330 pre-lci g20 and own a current g20 340. it is just fine with the right tyres.

Great video.I have 2023 m340i and want to switch out run flats with no run flats either Michelin PS4 All weather or Conti Sports all weather for better ride quality but I'm worried about getting a nail, I love in Chicago. What do you do for peace of mind? Repair kit or spare in trunk?

when the carplay messes up with the audio i will call someone and switch the audio output from carplay to iphone speaker and then back to carplay and it fixes it everytime

I also am about a year into an M340. Currently contemplating selling it or getting ohlin rt or kw v2 to improve ride quality. Have you ridden in one with coilovers that improved ride significantly?

I had a 23 340 for a year and 3 months. The fun factor wore off and could no longer compensate for the lack of ride quality and space. I've since traded for an X5. But I'll still maintain this is one of, if not the best car in the bmw lineup.

The ride is unforgivable, imo. And yeah, the interior quality is very lacking in this generation. Shame on BMW .

If you have adaptive suspension, you can code in comfort plus which softens it even further from regular comfort. But if you want uber soft, just get a base 330i or a 540i

Like downshift mentioned. I put non run flats on with adaptive suspension and it is nice. This comfort plus you speak of will it work on a 2022?
