The beauty of Dodge is most of their models have been around so long they got a lot of the kinks out. It will be a year in Feb for my 2019 Durango GT .. no issues.. got free oil changes for a year so that was it for the dealership. I saw something about Dodge being the only American brand in top 10 Consumers Reports.

I've had my durango rt for a few months now. The biggest thing I dont like about it so far is the storage space up front. The other thing I don't like is where the battery is located but I've watched videos on where to hook up jumper cables if I ever needed to jump my vehicle. Coming from a charger to the durango I can definitely feel the weight difference which took a little to get use to. But as of right now I love the rt.

You are right about storage, especially if you have the DVD system as it takes up the area underneath the center armrest. Otherwise, the Durango is solid on the road and is just right for every occasion. Enjoy!

Ppl who own them, it's the vast majority of cases..glowing reviews. My fam and I have been buying and driving Chrysler vehicles since the 50's and have never had a bad one, tbh. I used to have a '00 Durango 4x4 with the 4.7L and loved it. My current summer car is a '93 LeBaron convertible i adore with 170k & going strong & in winter, I have an '04 Chrysler Town & Country with 70k. I just never can see spending more than a couple grand on a car if the thing will last me a decade anyways, lol. It's been what I've done since '84 and the Durango at 13 yrs old when I bought it was the newest vehicle I've ever owned & was $1,700 with 140k :D

My Wife and I just purchased this same color Durango R/T and we love it! That said, I tried activating the "Surround Sound" option within the "Audio" option and it's totally grey'd out... like not an option I can select? Is that because we both have the upgraded HK 19-speaker sound system and it comes as a surround system by default? Maybe the "Surround Feature" is only active for the Alpine system that comes standard? I'm just hoping our 3-day old $57K Durango doesn't have a broken or flawed "U-Connect" system! Thoughts? I placed the order back in September 2018. Had to wait until November 6th because this color was new for 2019 and not production ready until that day. Car arrived at the dealer a week before Thanksgiving. In total, just under 3 weeks. I had paperwork and travel plans so didn't take delivery until December 24th 2018.

Yes. I do the deal in writing. I've ordered 4 Audis, 2 MB, 1 Chrysler 300s, and this Durango. No dealer changes their price with an order car when it arrives. The MB order was euro delivery and that process is different. Audis can take 2-6 months.

I traded it in for my new ride. The dealer sold it in 4 days. I know these options are hard to find, but the trade in Texas counts toward sales tax on the next car, so a grand or two extra on a private sale can't offset enough of the tax break.

To be honest, I always have my eyes closed, so I don't know. Here in Texas, it's less than $50 for a full tank. It runs on 87, 89, 91, and 93 octane. It does not take e85, which is a terrible fuel fir efficiency anyway.

Stick with college. V8 motors will eventually go away, and new V8 vehicles are harder to find and more expensive. But college is going to suck more money that any V8. The Durango in general is great and a V8 makes it spectacular. If you need a family hauler, there's nothing wrong with a Durango. But if you're single, a Durango and any V8 will make college life unnecessarily harder to enjoy (ie: epeeding tickets and fuel costs).

We're talking about a new car and we need the biggest one out there but not a bus if you know what I mean so we want a SUV. We're in Europe so the gas prices are not as low as in the states so fuel consumption is like nr1 on the list. I've been looking at the xc90 t5 and since we're from Sweden it would be the way to go. Problem is that I really like the bad ass look of the Durango and we got a Dodge reseller in our little town that is awesome and he always pays a whole lot more for old cars and basically gives you no option to go anywhere else because it's so good 😄 What is your take on the xc90 and what would you choose? We got 3 foster kids small ones and 3 biological kids that are older.... We got the Fiat Freemont today which is a rebranded Dodge journey but it's way too small and a little plastic. Is the Durango "less plastic" or is that how Dodge build their cars?

Interesting. I have an XC90 T8 this week. I also own a Durango. The XC90 has been great. T8 actually has more power than the 5.7L V8 HEMI in the Durango. I have more luxury in the XC90 because it's an Inscription. But the Durango has rear seat entertainment. Both of these are loaded, and the price difference in the US is $53k Durango, $84k XC90. That being said, the Land Rover HSE Td6 was also fantastic and came in at $88k loaded. The Durango is definitely cheaper. But its more of a tank than off-roader. The Volvo is very luxurious, especially a T8 Inscription. But it's not packaged as well as the LR Disco. The XC90 will be more fuel efficient than the Durango. The LR Disco is just as luxurious as the XC90. The Disco in diesel form is definitely most efficient and robust out of XC90 and Durango. The Disco is more off-road capable than Durango or XC90. The Durango rode more like the Disco than XC90. Overall, you should add Disco to your list and cross shop them based on features available to you at the price you want to pay. Be objective, not subjective. Dealerships do play into ownership experience. I have a Disco on my channel. The XC90 video is coming in 2 weeks. Thanks for watching!

If the LR Disco is off the list, then I can save you some time. Get the XC90. Volvo has better seats. The XC90 has a pano roof (something I wish Durango could have). XC90 has better fuel economy. You can always Polestar tune the Volvo for more power. If you need the family car to be more like a truck, get the Durango. It can tow. The interior folds completely flat. As for tech, the XC90 can have a 360 camera (Durango can't). Both have phone apps to check on the vehicle. Both have radar cruise and parking sensors. Only the Volvo has self parking assist. The Durango has much stronger seat and steering wheel heaters.
