“Not like any other car”. I’ve watched 9,427,642 reviews, at least it feels like that many, and almost everyone fails to recognize that fact and many even go directly to useless comparisons. I now own two Grenadiers and a Quartermaster on order. I sold two 200 series Land Cruisers that after owning the Grenadier for days I just assume throw rocks at after years of promising I would never sell them. Thank you for the content.

I was sure I was going to get steelies but I saw my Grenadier on the lot, last Sept, with those same alloys and really liked their chunky look. I went with Sela Green, Scottish White, and Halo Red frame, safaris, lockers, and hitch. Hi from across the pond in Boston.

Went out and drove one today , and I was convinced it was my next daily replacement, mostly for MTB etc, but after today, I'm not a fan, the b58 is fantastic, the things that killed it for me were, the steering, offset pedal box, left knee hitting the trans tunnel due to the stupid foot rest design, and no heads up at least other than a silly centre Speedo. Absolutely spwen I didn't like it, as it drove quite well.

I suggest you have inspected as they’re thousands of grenadiers out there who’s steering is fine. I’ll admit takes a couple of hours to adjust from a modern electric power steering vehicle. But if you’ve not mastered it within say 500 miles I’d suggest you: A)May have a fault (I doubt it) B) go on a driving course Please take this in the context I wrote it !

Steering is fine on mine. The car drives a bit like the old Discovery 2. Similar body roll that some people's brains misinterpret and then oversteer to compensate. They need to relax on the wheel.

Yassou! I really feel that issue with the steering is a bad Ineos design from the beginning. The biggest complaint besides vague steering is the wheel not returning to center after a corner just like very other car made. Part of the problem is not enough positive caster on the front axle. Make sure your unit is maxed out on positive caster. Hopefully Ineos comes out with a fix for this because it is not normal. Love the truck....I really wish they would offer a diesel version in the USA.

@@georgecarousos6735 that’s a recirculating ball steering rack for ya
@georgecarousos6735
@georgecarousos6735 15 күн бұрын
@@MarinoKatsouris Nope, sorry the recirculating ball is not the reason. There is some sort engineering miscalculation on Ineos' part....the ratio can be changed as can the torsion or internal spring rates to not only make the steering wheel movement more responsive but also increase steering feel. Besides older high performance sports cars I've own that use a recirculating ball steering box, I also own a 1 ton F-350 and Hummer H1 and they do not behave like the Grenadier's steering shown. Honestly, you will see Ineos have to make some sort of modifications to trucks already sold because it's only a matter of time before injury lawsuits happen in the USA. The lack of return to center is a big issue because no other car sold does that. Selling the only vehicle on the market that does not return to center is making injury attorneys salivate. Max out your positive caster, even though the factory setting is positive 2 degrees (essentially what a shopping cart has, lol)...if you can get closer to positive 4 degrees it will help. IMO the limiting factor will be the front driveshaft to differential angle and if it causes vibration at high speeds.

I understand what you are saying, however after an hour or so of an initial drive you forget about it and don’t notice it
@claudeschmit7133
@claudeschmit7133 12 күн бұрын
If you ever drive off-road properly, what the vehicle is built for (and not for the road)... then you might eventually understand why the steering is like that! That's the first point. The second point is that you get used to it after a few days, I don't notice it anymore. It is better if the back-up forces off-road are not so large. But the guy in the video doesn't really seem to use the vehicle...
@georgecarousos6735
@georgecarousos6735 12 күн бұрын
@@claudeschmit7133 That my friend is a load of crock. Just to give you an idea of some of the "off road vehicles that I've never used off road" include at Scout Traveler, Scout II, Jeep Scrambler, Suzuki Samurai, 1985 Blazer, 1991 Suburban, 1986 Suburban, Ford Excursion, Ford F350, Ford Bronco II, Land Rover Discovery II and my latest project, a 1993 Ford Explorer that is built to the hilt for off road. The exact thing that every one of these vehicles has in common the with Ineos is live axles and a steering box. None have anywhere near the play in the steering that the modern Ineos has. But lets forget play in the wheel (you can get use to that)...the most dangerous aspect of the Ineos is the steering not returning to center. If every other vehicle sold in the USA returns to center after a turn, having a vehicle that does not exposes Ineos to huge liability concerns if injuries occur. That is just the reality of selling in the USA. I am a big fan of the Ineos platform and it took a lot of guts for them to make a truck like this and I wish them huge success. This is a minor engineering issue that will be solved with more positive caster (5-7 degrees) but then the question is what will that do the the front differential pinion angle. If the angle is too extreme, driveline vibrations will occur which is a whole other issue that will have to be addressed.

Not really, I’m in Europe and Toyota offers here only a Prado version that doesn’t seem to be as good as 300 series. Yesterday I placed an order for Ineos Granedier trialmaster and to be honest even if Toyota offered 300 series I’d still go for Ineos, it’s way better made for a long run.

They will actually tell you the steering is horrible and they will actually tell you at the dealership there’s a 10% dead spot. Don’t forget they picked a dump truck steering for this vehicle yes a dump truck how many dump trucks do you know that I’m going down the highway at 75 miles an hour none
