Your hair looks amazing! I'm so happy for you! I just had my procedure done two days ago and I was wondering if you could please answer my question. My scalp sweated a bit due to the heat in my room but I was told prior not to wash my hair for the first two days. Would the bit of sweat on my scalp hurt my hair or is it okay for now? I was told I can wash the hair on 3rd day. Thanks!
@wegrowhair2 жыл бұрын
i don't want to give you any medical advice. you should speak to your hair restoration clinic if you have questions. The reason they don't want you to wash your hair for a couple days is because you may accidentally dislodge newly planted hair follicles. I wouldn't worry about sweat but that's not my call. speak to your doctor! good luck!

I am the same as you. Just reached 2 months and I am very eager and scared to see how it turns out. Its just that I don’t know what to expect because there are many different outcomes but I am 20 I sealed with it for 2 years now, have taken finasteride and finally done a hair transplantant but it has taken its toll on my mental state and confidence a lot, so hard I sometimes even thought about just ending it. I am eager to see it improve but scared that it does not reach my expectations which means I need to go for a second time and it swoops another year from me. Its eating me from inside out and I just don’t know what to do, to pass the time, to make me feel me again. Think I reached my all time low :(
@wegrowhair4 жыл бұрын
We totally understand how you feel. You are not alone my friend. We have been treating people for over 25 years now. Hair loss is devastating. Right now you feel like you're at your all time low but the great news is you have already taken the first step to make a change. There is only one way to go from here and that's up. The first 4 months are the hardest. That's when the new hair is dormant. And the waiting game can be excruciating for some but it will get here before you know it. You should start to see new hair growth at the 4 month mark although don't get discouraged if it doesn't start coming in at that mile marker. Everyone is different. When it does start, you'll see small translucent hairs spring up. As time passes, those hairs will get stronger and larger in diameter. Do you have a laser helmet or are you near a clinic that offers laser therapy? that can be very helpful to nurture the growing hair. I can't tell if if you will or won't need a second surgery. The thickness of your hair will depend on your density, hair texture, and how many hairs were transplanted. Did you have it done with us or are you somewhere else? You can follow us on facebook.com/WeGrowHair or instagram.com/wegrowhairnash/ and you can always visit us on www.WeGrowHair.com. GOOD LUCK! Praying for a great outcome.

The easy answer is you need to do everything you can to keep those untransplanted hairs healthy or you may lose them too, depending on your genetics. Some people can't do finasterade. Some people don't like minoxidil. There are alternatives to everything. @wegrowhair2 жыл бұрын
if you have four grafts and each graft has 3 hairs, that's 12 hairs. if each graft has 1 hair, that's 4 hairs. 12 hairs vs. 4 hairs. Big difference in density especially when multiplied. See how that can be misleading, especially if the clinic is charging by the graft (their advantage not yours). That's why we charge by the coverage. @wegrowhair2 жыл бұрын
Many hair transplant patients use finasteride. After you have a hair transplant, you won't lose the hair that was transplanted, but you can lose the existing hair that was not transplanted. you must use as many non-surgical treatments as you can to keep that hair healthy or it will fall out too. It's also important to know that there are many treatments that are not drug related but finasteride is proven to be very effective in preventing more hair loss. A very small percentage of men have side effects, which can be reversed by stopping the medication. Here's ways to take care of your hair: wegrowhair.com/hair-care/

Transplanted hairs last for how many years?
@wegrowhair3 жыл бұрын
transplanted hairs last the lifetime of the patient. The donor hair is taken from the back of the head where hair is resistant to DHT which causes hair loss. You may have noticed that when folks get older they will lose hair on the top of the head but not the sides and the back. Now if it's transplanted among existing non-transplanted hair, that hair is still susceptible to hair loss and may fall out making the hair transplant look thinner. @wegrowhair2 жыл бұрын
In your case, you should ask your physician about your shedding. Generally, we tell our patients that shedding is normal but we can't give you any advise because we don't know your situation. We tell our patients that sometimes patients might lose surrounding hairs due to the trauma of the procedure. THIS IS TEMPORARY though and hair should grow back again in a few months. It's safe to wear a cap except right after the procedure. We tell patients that non-surgical treatments such as laser therapy or supplements help the hair to get healthy again. Good luck!

Im wondering is this FUE or FUT? I'm 23 years old and my hair started to recede. Am I too young for the surgery? is it gonna be a permanent result? thanks
@wegrowhair3 жыл бұрын
You have several great questions. This is an FUT and we do both. There are pros and cons to each procedure. Look here for a comparison: wegrowhair.com/types-of-hair-transplant-surgeries/ A hair transplant IS permanent which is precisely why at 23 you are probably too young for a transplant (not saying we never do 23 year olds). You have to move forward with the right plan and your hair loss is too unpredictable at this point. The only way to know for sure is to have a medical consultation with one of our staff members. One thing is for sure - you should begin concentrating on non-surgical hair loss prevention right now to stop or slow down future hair loss. This page might also help you: wegrowhair.com/too-young-for-premature-hair-loss/. Good luck and hope this helps.

@wegrowhair4 жыл бұрын
Did you know that 'number of grafts' is a very deceptive thing in the hair transplant industry? A graft can have 1 hair, 2 hairs, 3 hairs, 4 hairs, 5 hairs... That would make a big difference in density. Especially if your hair transplant only consists of only 1 hair grafts. What you really need to know is how many hairs this man got. He got approximately 7000 hairs. We don't charge 'by the graft'. We charge by the coverage. If you want to speak to a medical consultant visit www.WeGrowHair.com/virtual/.

Yes, one session. That is the unique advantage of the trademarked Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™ procedure. The density achieved in one procedure is double that of other clinics. Sometimes the numbers can be even higher than that. It depends on the donor area etc.. but yes, 7000 hairs is typical. Read more about it at www.WeGrowHair.com.

@wegrowhair3 жыл бұрын
You're probably going to be fine. The most important thing you need to understand is that comparing yourself to another person might just frustrate you. Even comparing yourself to yourself in a prior procedure might also frustrate you. WHY? Because hair follicles go through 3 cycles, anagen, catagen and telogen, which are resting and growing cycles. If your hair happens to be harvested at the beginning of the resting phase, you won't see that hair for a few months. If that follicle just began the Catagen phase, it may be even longer. So, relax! Enjoy watching your hair grow in - whenever that might be. Typically, patients see a significant change at 4 or 6 months and complete growth by month 12. Good luck!

Can you wear hats after the transplant?
@wegrowhair3 жыл бұрын
During the first few days the grafts are very delicate and can be dislodged if touched or rubbed with a hat. At PAI, we feel that it is safe to wear a clean loose hat that doesn't touch the grafts after 4 or 5 days. Just remember, it doesn't make sense to have a procedure only to knock out your grafts with a hat. BE CAREFUL!

@wegrowhair3 жыл бұрын
Yes, good observation and true for some patients. All the transplanted hair is permanent with or without Finasteride. He may need another transplant if he loses more hair in the back. That all depends on his genetics. Also, there are many non-surgical treatments that help you keep the hair you have.
@Zombie1013 жыл бұрын
@@wegrowhair sadly no all the transplanted hair is not safe from the effects of DHT. Just because it's been moved doesn't mean it's safe
@wegrowhair3 жыл бұрын
The whole science behind a hair transplant is that it's taken from the safe zone, an area in the back of your head where hair is PERMANENT and does not fall out during the lifetime of the patient (that's why you see older gentlemen with a ring of hair around the back of their head from ear to ear). It's not just the individual hair that's harvested, but the encasing tissue with all the genetic code to protect it from DHT. If a hair transplant is done by an inexperienced doctor, and he harvests hair outside of the safe zone (i.e. to high above the safe area), then that hair may be susceptible to DHT and will fall out. Some shady doctors will do this especially if the patient has had too many hair transplants and they don't have any donor left. Our doctors will turn away patients with no healthy donor left. The only other cause of hair loss on transplanted hair would be a medical condition or medical treatments/medicine such as chemotherapy. In that case finasteride will not aid in fighting hair loss because its purpose is to fight DHT not medical complications or illness. We've helped THOUSANDS of patients with hair loss for over 26 years. Many if not most of PAI's employees have had hair transplants and they still retain the hair that was transplanted 10, 20 or 30 years ago.

When a hairline is designed incorrectly and doesn't look age appropriate it stands out as fake looking or unnatural.
