It's intended to be fantasy, guys. Just stop worrying about historical accuracy, suspend your disbelief, and just enjoy this movie and it's cheesy rambling almost nonexistent plot line... Pretty decent graphics though. a feast for the eyes.

So true, slavery did not happen, at least not across tribal regions, in 10,000 B.C. And I think the Mammoths may have been extinct or near extinct by 10,000 B.C.

People arguing over whether or not the film could be true. Of course it couldn't, this is an artist's depiction of 10,000 B.C. and how it could entertain the viewers in a movie.

LOL, that is true, but I see that part as more of a translation of the language for us to understand. But, the different tribes should of had more trouble speaking to one another.

They roamed North America to as far south as present-day Mexico as well. But yes, they did become fully extinct around 4,500 years ago. The 10,000 figure is when they became extinct in most of North America (if I remember correctly). Either way it is like you said, they never were in Africa.

I dont quite understand the geography, the most logical place for the story to take place is the Americas hence the mamooths and the terror births (only precent in the americas) but they are building pyramids in a desert wich sugests africa furthermore the presence of blacks and whites, wich sugests that they are somwhere in Eurasia. It confuses me to no end.

marvin van zon It's really more of a fantasy film than anything else. When I watched it, I got the impression that it wasn't even supposed to be any real place in particular, but maybe just a fantasy city inspired by ancient egypt? We're already overlooking the fact that the movie depicts sainboats thousands of years before they were invented, and the fact that they have weapons made of metals that weren't used/discovered until thousands of years later and that humans have domesticated mammoths.

You are right about that, but this is a fantasy where everything is mixed. Out of my understanding, this city is "Babylon" well babylon was not during 10 000 but the way the city looks and that the king is claiming to be a god may refer to the babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II wich was a babylonian king who took jews and others as slaves to build hes city.
