Hugh started putting some serious work into his character at the gym starting after X3. That and the better writing made for much more enjoyable X-men films. Really hats off to the X-men franchise. They didn't make a bad film after X3 and I think that is pretty remarkable.

X2 is THE *BEST* of the OG X-Men trilogy, & imo only comes second to “Days of Future Past” overall… with “Deadpool Vs Wolverine” being the *GREATEST* depiction of Wolverine’s prowess in existence to date, to be sure! But I still *LOVE* the titular releases of “Logan” as well as “The Wolverine” in every way. All were amazing in their own right
