Just because you don't remember it doesn't mean it isn't important. Infants bond with their parents in infancy, and if you leave for a year in the babies infancy it isn't going to go well for that relationship. Trust me, my sister works in a daycare, I've seen this happen. Fathers that leave for military during a child's infancy DO NOT end well for the long term relationship. Not even mentioning the fact that the wife had to deal with the infant on her own (which is not easy, infants suck), while also working a full time job, occasionally working 24 hour shifts. That isn't easy, especially when you don't have a spouse to help you. If you think it's surprising she wanted her husband back you don't understand what a healthy relationship is. I know you're likely a teenager, even if you vehemently deny it, but I hope one day you're able to look back at this comment and cringe.

That means you would have to spend 22,133 hours to raise 2 kids rather than 816 hours doing this challenge. There are 8,760 hours in a year. You would be spending more time away from your kids having a regular job than just doing this challenge for a year or two and be able to retire and be with your kids during their age where they actually start forming lifelong memories. A relationship cannot be maintained if you aren’t seeing the other for long periods of time. People blame their partners for this when they enter the military, but who would want to stay in a relationship where the person you love is gone for most of the time?
