We sold firemagic for 40 years when we had our stores....After hearing you, I would take the Napoleon...I like the double hood and the power burner......and the price.....I always loved the cast stainless burners but would give that up for the difference in the double hood and the power burner.....I also like the color on the knobs feature.....thanks for the overview

I'm a big fan of all 304 stainless, since I live on the east coast and have been through many grills. Just my thoughts: The FM rotisserie is beefier but looks too low to cook large items without the hassle of removing the guts and grates. Hard to see not in person. I've had the cast burners and they rust like crazy (at least over here) and I can pull them out and constantly tap rust flakes out of the burners and holes , but the tubes have their own problems on any grill as well where I live. I've bought much cheaper grills with the all 304 stainless (not the fake because that's out there too), and Napoleon still puzzles me not offering it on their pro series or higher end models. I've heard some of the quality control on the fitment isn't the best it should be regarding the costs. I use the side burners, for scallops, stirfry, etc, but could definitely see using the side high burner for crab boils, beaufort stews, lobsters, potatoes, etc.. Smart wow factor with the motions sensor and lights. I like What Napoleon is trying to do with the thrills of cooking. The window on the FM seems like it would be dark and unviewable after three months. I've had a couple with small windows and I can forget about the window after awhile. Cleaning doesn't get it back as clean as I liked. As much as I do like to see who's flaming inside, I've learned to use hood venting and peeks better. Seems FM put some heavy duty core basics into the higher priced grill but it seems more marketing priced higher for those that feel they need to pay higher. Heavier ga 304 and solid handles and solid fit and construction can only push prices much further but still have a margin before considered government, boat or RV "grade" lol. Not to take away from either, but most grills are overpriced and having spent 35 years on grills, I can spend 5yrs on an all-304 stainless, and still cook great steaks, chicken, etc, etc on under $1500 and the food tastes the same. I can install my own led's if I want for

Would like to add: Napoleon may be considering that most end users will lose the base and build in the top....even still it should be available on the higher end series.

They do make the same grill with a built in feature.

On the Napoleon, can you turn down the sizzle zone side to a lower heat for more grilling area? For example, cooking chicken on that side. Or is it just for searing steaks? Thank you.

That Napoleon in Sweden retail at approximately 7-8 grand! It’s ridiculous how the price in Europe is almost double compared to North America!! The normal p665 ( not pro) is on sale now for 3500 usd here in sweden

Hey folks do NOT purchase the PRO665. Unless your into scrubbing the interior of your grill. I've owned one now for 3 months. Purchased it on sale late December 2019 and just began using it at the beginning of the covid pandemic. Napoleon changed the rear hood design which allows for grease to seep between the stainless diverter plate and rear hood. Napoleon has refused to acknowledge this design flaw and will NOT provide any solution to the issue except that the owner must clean and scrub the interior of the grill after every 3 uses. Thats a chore in itself and a messy one too so I've found out. It sucks!
@embersliving4 жыл бұрын
so sorry to hear that! maybe we can help In some way. Our cook model is a 2019, and we do not have that issue. What did Napoleon say exactly?

@@embersliving is what Mr55slamg saying true (about the recent redesign and having to clean it every 3 uses??? I just bought the 500 Prestige so maybe that one isnt impacted but they are both similarly designed.

Does Fire Magic have another grill at the same price range as the Napoleon? If they do compare those two together.

I love my 825. The only thing I would change is making the left side 275 sq inches bigger and call it 1000 Pro. I'm only a hour from where its made. Maybe I should stop by and let them know lol

meh, valuable video for me - I trust the guy. I have had DCS and Napoleon and the Napoleon knobs sucked but overall grill performance was better by Napoleon..... I do agree with the sound quality --- go with a wireless mic or put some panels behind you but it wasn't so bad I didnt watch it all...
