BOOM! New £10,000 garage gym! Equipped with everything I need as a long-distance swimmer, this will serves as the HQ for the world's longest swim (which is either a good idea or a terrible one, haha)! Yes, (granted) it doesn't look like much, but I love it and (weirdly) enjoy the solitude of training alone getting all 'snug' in the "pain cave". We'll be filming some BRUTAL workouts as part of the #WorldsLongestSwim series so let us know in the comments what you want to see. Swim erg? Shoulder pre-hab? Anaerobic conditioning? 1RM pull-up?

Really glad to hear you say you can have too many ice baths. We have talked about that on our podcast and some studies and how the inflammatory response is a good thing. Same things with taking too many NSAIDS or allergy meds.

Ross, I congratulate you on your fantastic achievements, and inspirational to say the least. Have you any videos of your catch, pull and push? And the difference between we tween your pool and open water technique? And a big question from me also is tackling afterdrop. While you work on generating heat before getting clothed, we're the opposite. Clothed, excerise then warm sustenance. Sorry for the long list of questions 😢 And I love your gym 👍 Mine is small dumbbells by the couch, a bar in the utility room, and a walking machine in the shed, somewhere near the lawnmower 👍 Oh, the plunge pool is filled now for the winter because the closest river has quite a current with all the rain. Thank you Ross and thank you also for spreading a wonderful positive energy. Much appreciated in more ways than one and by a lot more than one 🙏

Looking forwards to the event, hoping for a non-wetsuit swim as the rhino neck freaked me out a bit. I’d love to see swim strength exercises. I’ve been playing with flared elbow pullover for that high elbow catch-strength. Will try the scapular presses and hog the squat rack for it!

It looks like you need one more thing for the world’s longest swim gym. Perhaps a Vitruvian Trainer+ that measures 117 x 52 x 12 cm? Real time force/power output so you can monitor your adaptation energy. I will ship one out at no cost. Lmk

You HAVE to do equal amounts of lifts each side ...... we all do. OCD rules (well, my OCD is alphabetic, CDO..)... Nice gym.👍💪🌞. Have you considered icebaths before training? I do that every now and then, and I get crazy hot after training, feels like metabolism is through the roof.
