@@rustyshackleford1040 the one you refer to (our true President, and leader) never $#!+ himself! He made others $#!+ themselves! Once the criminal you support stole his office, our enemies rose up from the caves they hid in and gave us another black eye, and the criminal who sleeps in our real president's bed did nothing! Wait! That statement isn't accurate! He left them with millions of dollars worth of our military equipment and artillery! When war makes it to our soil, true Americans will use those who supported our enemies as sandbags. That's about all you'll be worth in the new America!

I like the one that says about the man that does not talk, and a dog that doesn't bark. A man that doesn't talk is a wise one. His enemies doesn't know how the man thinks, so they know not what steps to take. The man has the power. The dog that doesn't bark, gives no warning of danger through sound, but through action he guards ready for action.

Yes! Excellent proverb. I was a school librarian for Navajo & taught 5th grade for Zuni. Among Native American friends, or within their family: comfortable quiet is fine; don't feel the 'need' to fill the space with words. And when something is discussed, it's to reach a consensus. Not spout opinions, loudly not listening to each other.

Have fun and do all the things you wanna do and if there was anything that would make you unsatisfied If you died rn then correct it and get it done.. For example if have a family and it would stress you out or bother you that if you died you didn't have something in place that would help take care of them like a life insurance policy or something then get it... But yeah for me I take it as do things so you'll die happy knowing you lived your life to the fullest and took care of all the things you wanted to so when you die you look at it as reaching ascending to the next plateau cause youve done all you can and needed or wanted to here

" There are two wolves fighting inside all of us. The first one is evil, the second one is good.... Which wolf will win? The one you Feed." This one quote right here speaks very high volumes, very deep,
@Itzcuetlachtli
@Itzcuetlachtli Жыл бұрын
The original is deeper An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life: “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. ”It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “If you feed them right, they both win. You see, if I only choose to feed the white wolf, the black one will be hiding around every corner waiting for me to become distracted or weak and jump to get the attention he craves. He will always be angry and always fighting the white wolf. But if I acknowledge him, he is happy and the white wolf is happy and we all win. For the black wolf has many qualities - tenacity, courage, fearlessness, strong-willed and great strategic thinking - that I have need of at times and that the white wolf lacks. But the white wolf has compassion, caring, strength and the ability to recognize what is in the best interest of all. “You see, son, the white wolf needs the black wolf at his side. To feed only one would starve the other and they will become uncontrollable. To feed and care for both means they will serve you well and do nothing that is not a part of something greater, something good, something of life. Feed them both and there will be no more internal struggle for your attention. And when there is no battle inside, you can listen to the voices of deeper knowing that will guide you in choosing what is right in every circumstance. Peace, my son, is the Cherokee mission in life. A man or a woman who has peace inside has everything. A man or a woman who is pulled apart by the war inside him or her has nothing. “How you choose to interact with the opposing forces within you will determine your life. Starve one or the other or guide them both.”

That one was my fave, along with "Beware the man who doesn't speak..." The sweet root one, to my ears, tells us of the old "Don't judge a book by its cover" and speaks to me about duplicity in people. Just because they appear to be the greatest person to you doesn't mean they're even a great person to others. Something I am facing as I write this. The "Beware..." one tells me that those who don't speak or bark are lying in wait and are the ones that you might not want to trust or allow too close.

@@ryomaanime4563 It's not everywhere. You are confusing this succinct quote with the warnings scientists have been trying to bring to our attention. These warnings fell on deaf ears until shit started hitting the fan. At least in Australia. In 2003 I read an extensive article on what Australia is going to face if things remain unchanged. The warnings went unheeded and things have been playing out exactly, I mean exactly, as described. for the past 4 years. It doesn't matter how old the quotes are in your opinion. What is important is that this particular quote rings true. Natives the world over have very different relationship with nature and have a deep understanding of how things work. It's no brainer.

And you would need money for those billboards. Which probably won't help much either way, its true but you're not offering a practical solution to anything, and not telling anyone more specifically what you want them to do. Money does serve an important practical purpose, including distributing things people need like food, and letting people be in other occupations which some are important. If everybody lived directly from growing/hunting/harvesting or fishing their own foods, nobody could work in healthcare, law enforcement (there will always be crime), as teachers (thus important knowledge may not reach out), helping to build and repair things etc. People just wouldn't have the time necessary. We would most certainly not have either cars (and other motor vehicles) or phones/computers after a while either as it takes occupations to build and maintain advanced technology. Either way in our world people are dependent on money and it would probably cause disaster including mass starvation if we suddenly got rid of the money system overnight without having a truly good backup system. Communism have already proven not to work

@@carrie9716 Rome is the foundation of every civilization larger than a random barbarian tribe in the middle of nowhere. If a country is a "republic," it got that name from Rome. It conquered and controlled such a massive amount of land and people for thousands of years that it is only matched in sheer size by a few nations in history, and none of them endured as long. Rome is glorious, and learning from Rome is wise. The Aztecs, though? Irrelevant barbarians.

@LateralTwitlerLT
@LateralTwitlerLT 2 жыл бұрын
@@jojo-fj7lw It's jibberish meant to sound deep. They basically say you should fear quiet men, because "quiet men have deep feelings that may come to the surface and hurt others". Just like kids today posts memes about fearing the quiet kid in class. Except it's not true at all, since people are different; some are introverts, while others are outroverts, and dangerous people can come from all walks of life. And dogs not barking when they come towards you are on a path of aggression, as every other Native American dog is basically wild and not owned by anyone, and will behave like a pack animal and bark at visitors and strangers. Except it's not true at all, since most of the World's dogs don't bark, and most dogs are not making a sound when they come to greet you apart from some happy whines.

"A brave man dies but once, a coward many times." I like this quote. It isn't just true of warriors and soldiers; we all fight battles of the mind every day; the only difference between the brave and the cowardly in this sense are those who're unwilling to see themselves succeed in the real world, so give up before they choose to fight to make their imagination manifest.
