I have 6K miles on my new 2023 PalCal. I drove nothing but Mercedes for the last 20 years, finally got tired of the expense. This Caligraphy has more tech than any MB I ever owned including my S550. My favorite quirkly little feature? When you are stopped at a light looking at your phone, and the light turns green and the car ahead of you starts moving, the Pal beeps and says "lead car now moving". I rarely see this feature mentioned in reviews which is too bad, it is awesome. Downsides of the Pal are no folding mirrors and no wireless carplay. Otherwise this thing is awesome.

@@ThamilNesan hopefully they will correct this in the next year or two…. My 2020 F-150 Lariat has power folding mirrors - which is a must have for me to get the truck in my garage in the winter….I will not get out, manually fold them in, get back in the truck and back it in….

Nice video, at 11:50 where you mention having a dark mode, you can go to setting and cluster to change to the sport theme without changing the setting. This way you can have the sport dash with comfort setting. Hope this helps

Thanks for the update. I got mine in November and enjoy driving it. I agree with the driving assist and how nice it is. That combined with the massaging seat on a long drive really helps! I wish it had wireless Android Auto. I purchased a module that makes it wireless, but it takes up space. I would like the fuel economy to be a little better. Maybe the next gen will have a hybrid option? The stereo is okay. It could use more bass. Overall, so far, so good. I have 7,500 miles on mine. Great videos. I'm looking forward to more!

3 major annoyances: 1. Lack of wireless carplay 2. Lack of 2nd row bench in higher trim levels 3. Lack of music artist/song display in the driver’s digital gauge cluster - only seen in the center infotainment screen.

First of all, we own a 2024 Calligraphy and love it. Comments to your comments. 1. A darker interior doesn't show the soil as much. 2, I believe that the foggy side glass is somewhat a result of the tint. 3. A 3rd row light would be a distraction while driving at night. 4. I doubt if many cars have adjustable head rests. 5. A driver's side O.S. bar would prevent the driver from keeping both hands on the wheel. (know a relief from using both hands is necessary). 6. I believe there is an adjustment available to dim the dash lights in the set up). 7. I have owned several other cars in the same price range and their sound systems didn't even come close. 8. The car companies use leather on the steering wheels because it's upscale and feels good. We just have to be a bit more careful or change to a plastic wheel. 9. Micro scratches on the B pillars. Unfortunately, it's a characteristic of shiny black plastic and paint. The cause of course are the car wash brushes. It's worse on a dark car. You did mention the things you liked and I agree. This is one of the best cars that I have ever owned. Yep, it's not perfect. But, for the money, WOW!

Have you had to drive it in any inclement weather? Asking about the AWD because where I live we get snow. My Grand Cherokee handles it with no issue but it’s 15 years old and only two rows and I am looking to upgrade. My wife has a Tucson and loves it so we will be checking out the Palisade this spring when we go new car shopping to replace the Grand Cherokee.

This is my wife’s dream car. White with white interior. We are still waiting for car prices (and interest rates) to drop down to a reasonable number. And you’re the first person I’ve seen say they like the blue link lol. It’s awesome for the first 3 years you have it for free. But after that, you have to pay for 2 different plan packages just to use remote start, lock/unlock and etc with the app. GMC gave us 5 years free but their plans suck too.

Usually the scratches on the steering wheel is from your rings. I have a leather steering wheel and my engagement ring scratches it when the diamond turns under. Especially if your hand gets cold from the AC hitting your hand your hand gets thinner and your rings spin and when you do maneuvers you'll scratch the steering wheel. Just my experience.

Does your driver seat side bolsters work? This has been an issue for many users on the forms. I’ve had my entire seat frame replaced once already under warranty and the issue came back within two days. Now the dealer saying the seat works fine, even though the bolster doesn’t inflate. I opened a case with Hyundai corporate, who referred it back to the local dealer who said everything was finewith no result over a year later

I used to have a Santa Fe with light leather. I owned it for 5 years before I traded it in 2 weeks ago for a Palisade with light leather too. I didnt have any big issues maintaining it. I use 303 leather cleaner and protector every 2-3 months. One thing that you need to keep watch are jeans. Jeans for some reason transfer a bit of the blue to the leather. So I clean the driver seat once a month.

I own a 2021 Highlander and a 2022 PalCal. Toyota gives you PPF standard on high contact areas standard on the Highlander. I wish that both vehicles would give you a better stereo. The Highlander handles better but the PalCal rides better. Even though the Highlander uses cheaper materials than the PalCal, it seems like it is built better and will last longer than the Hyundai. The Highlander can't even compete when it comes to options. Love both but if it came down to which one I think will last longer, I am going with the Highlander. Very surprised they did not add folding mirrors as Korea is a very congested and tight country and just about all their cars there have this feature.

Hello Caleb, thanks for your review. I got my 2023 Palisade Calligraphy last summer and so far I kind of like it but there are some minor deceptions. For instance, I live in Canada where winter is normally hard but this winter was pretty mild however on two occasions I had a humidity issue where there was frost all over the dashboard, steering wheel, radio, rear view mirror and even the front side door panels. I reported the problem to my local dealer and they checked my carpet to see if it was wet but it was not so they don't have a clue what could have caused this. I have the exact same interior as you and I agree that it looks super nice and rich but dirty color hard to keep clean sometimes. The exterior is moonlight blue so pretty dark color but difficult to maintain and even with the protective ceramic coat, I have micro scratches all over the car and never used car wash with brushes only jets. I only use "Sport" mode because all the other ones have no power at all. I wish they would have power folding mirrors as my garage is pretty narrow and I require to fold them every time I park it inside. Last point, you should get the mud guards to avoid mud splashing all over your doors. Thank you.
@kyraandamysdad
@kyraandamysdad 11 ай бұрын
The frost could be plastic. The sun heats the plastic materials and they give off a vapor that coats the windows, causing moisture to fog up more than normal. It should wash off.

The micro scratches are fairly easy to remove and restore just get the proper products. I recommend chemical guys. A little pricey but you don’t need alot and works really well. Especially the leather cleaner/ conditioner and the leather conditioner. Phenomenal for upkeep. I love love love my palisade. We had a pathfinder. It was beautiful but it was leaking through the sunroof. Nissan could not find a fix until we took them to court. By that time we settled on a buy back. This time around we did months worth of research and test drives. The palisade by far was the best for value power and all around luxury and comfort even better features than Lexus Infiniti and Mercedes. This car is a dream to own. Has enough power 3.8 is a phenomenal engine it always has been. With proper tow package from dealer 1600$ unless is comes equipped already it can pull 5000lbs. Easily. It’s like you’re driving regular. But you should still baby it while pulling. Also you can by a power commander for 200$ that is plug and play it will give you additional horsepower. Just wanted to mention. I love my vehicle. People I know were hating on me for buying a Korean car. But if you do the research on the safety it’s at the top of its class in every category. Not only extremely safe of GOD forbid someone got into an accident. You can almost guarantee everyone will walk away unharmed. So drive safe people. There are so many safety features for collision prevention it’s unbelievable. More than most luxury brands in its class. If I had to do it again. I would buy this same car to own in its newest version. I only have 2k miles on mine but it’s surely a keeper. Use those chemical guys products I stated before and the maintenance for cleaning will be easier every time you need to clean it. Protect all your surfaces even the piano black interior trim and brushed aluminum. All of the trim can be restored if you scuff scratch or damage them. Just search KZbin and you will find your solutions. But of course we are gonna live and use these vehicles so enjoy them. What a blessing to have a nice new vehicle. So enjoy it we work hard for these things don’t let a little damage ruin your day it can all be fixed fairly easily. Thank you for the vid @Caleb. It helps make me realize even more that we made the best decision. Come on blind spot turn signal cameras. Also blue link app. You can take pictures of the car surroundings from anywhere in the world. It’s phenomenal technology and security. Try it if you haven’t. Very cool and comforting. Lastly the quality of the camera imaging is very clear compared to the competitors. Like I said we did rigorous research before we made the buy. Enjoy your PAL. I couldn’t be happier. It’s a joy even in traffic. Love to be in it. Take your time people and drive safe. Have a blessed day.

Looked at the calligraphy trim yesterday to get more room than my 2021 Blazer, the power just wasn't there in comparison, it would be tough to pass in tight traffic or merge quickly, the throttle delay was noticeable, felt under powered for the size of the car, needed about 325 HP or more I think. If it had a turbo v6 maybe, but that was a deal breaker for me. Other things I noticed, the Blazer Bose system was better than the Harmon system; Palisade did not have electronic steering wheel adjustment; seats lacked side bolstering.

All depends on the type of driving you do. You do a lot of idling, stop and go traffic, fuel economy will go way down. Check you tire pressures, unnecessary weight/load in the car, etc.

I have same trim 2023 and it rattles from somewhere in trunk or seat belt side some where and is super annoying and feels like the shocks is like 10 year old so much thug noise when drive in city and go over bumps, dealer can't figure it out where the rattle coming from. So disappointed and have wind noise on both passenger and driver side and dealer said it is normal for sunroof vehicle .

check the seatbelts. If the seatbelts that are not in use are twisted, the buckles will hit the side and make noise. straighten it and the loop will keep it from hitting the sides.

@jmartyt9810 we checked, and all seat belts were put it back in spot where the unused seat belt hook in. rattle noise mostly coming from the trunk sides I am pretty sure it is 3rd-row seat belt where it comes out of that black socket thing rattles when it hit sides in bump. Unfortunately, dealer try to ignore it and they said it is our number plate I took it out and drove, and still rattles.

@@p0go598check for any lose items in the hidden compartment in the trunk. I have put stuff in mine and found later on, theyre either sliding around or rattling. The compartment is all plastic, no felt or rubber lining. I ended up going to dollar store putting one of those rubber kitchen cabinet/drawer liners.

@@andretorres1220 It almost feels like they went too deep into making it family friendly sound system. Like for newborns/babies. There many features that give me that impression. Like the Quite Mode in shortcuts button . (Only front speakers on and the back ones off).

It has to do with the tinting interacting with the acoustic laminating they did on the rear glass for this year, they don't have a fix yet.
