2022 Hyundai Palisade Problems, Complaints and Recalls. Should you buy?

I've had 3 different Hyundai's in the last 15 years and no problems with any of them. Just bought a 2024 Palisade a few months ago, and loving it.

We own a 2022 Palisade Calligraphy model. Not one of these big issues occurred and about 30K on the mileage. Great gas mileage. Some minor concerns but nothing to gripe about, we would buy again! Former owner of 3 Ford Explorers and 1 Edge!

@ back then it was about 37k. I don’t have it anymore and I’m upset. There was 51k when I traded it. Still no problems.

No mention of DGI engine issues with excessive oil consumption.

So does oil engine alert lack of oil? How could it be found excessive oil consumption? (When changing oil?)

Regularly check your engine's oil level by pulling out the oil dipstick. If it's burning excess oil the level will drop quickly. A properly running engine doesn't burn oil. @@jpthsd

Thanks, I agree. I just wish I didn't have to wait two months to get an appointment for an oil change at Fitz Mall Hyundai in Clearwater. They did fix the clunking noise with the shock tower.

82,688 units of 2022 Palisade sold in the US. And there are 75 complaints and 3 recalls related to this Model Year. Stats say it's a good car, which may have problems. :)

@car PROblems thanks for reply.. how is it to buy a demo vehicle with only 1000-1500kms on it and dealer claiming its like a new vehicle because demo vehicles usually have 7k+ kms.. is it safe to buy it

@@akhere07yes it is safe to buy a demo, I bought a 2020 Corolla demo back in 2020 which had 1200 miles on it and now in 2024 it’s still as good as ever. I only have 26.5k miles on it.

My 2022 Palisade is much more reliable than my 2020 Toyota Sienna Limited Premium that has had two low pressure fuel pumps replaced and power 3rd row seats that had multiple failures, along with numerous rattles.

My 2022 just had to have the radiator replace due to a leak in a seam. Has 37,000 mi on it when this happened

True true saw many people driving Kia Hyundai thought those were ok but not really , apparently are ok for 2, 3 years so getting worse after that I guess!

@@jpthsd - Yeah, too many quirks and issues associated with Hyaundai/Kia models right now. I hope they stabilize and develop a more reputable line. The more solid competition the better. I really and rooting for them but for now my Toyotas have been superior.

Had ahoda pilot and had windshield crack for no reason , warped brake pads,lots of issues with transmission last one involving the torque converter which means a $7000 repair. No thanks Honda not again. Getting the palisade
