10.2 Preliminary M+ DPS Tier List | My Initial Thoughts from Testing

Outlaw - Havoc - Aug is looking like such a slam dunk meta comp. With its new tier, lack of Bear/Resto druid meta and fixed DH spot for Chaos Brand application, I think Balance might be knocking on the S-tier door.

thank you for being honest about destruction warlock, we need the destruction warlock developer to understand that cataclysm needs to be either baseline or replace pyrogenics. Tier set also sucks for Destro as well

that & Rain of Fire needs, *NEEDS* to be a generator again. maybe not to the level of what it did in MoP, but absolutely not a trash spender like it currently is. also Chaos Bolt is supposed to be “thematically” one of the strongest abilities in game since it’s a mix of all schools of magic & physical, but still feels so weak.

I'm an arcane main and so far I have seen us as high as A+ and as low as C lol. It seems like a very conflicted spec atm. I'm going all in on it cause I love the idea of our AM cleaving and doing big dam but the mana problems from losing the current 4p is going to hurt. If they address this I think we will see a higher and more consistent rating for Arcane. Also, thanks for the video. Just subscribed

It seems game will be balanced as it was before 10.1.5. The only problem I can see is aug evoker will be must have again, which limits dps spot to 2 instead of 3.

5:05 Feral always have catched the nerfs, Blizzard does not want it to be good. Watch it get big nerf on Tier set or otherwise make it mediocre to even bench warmer. Soon as big streamer starts to play it Blizzard will nerf it. "Hey we cant have streamer play Feral, we want everyone to play Balance".

Nice Tier List. Little point i have, you usually dont use missdirect as a BM, bcs you only missdirect YOUR aggro, not your pets, and they do btw 70-80% of your damage. On top of this you lose dmg or survivability for choosing Missdirect as a talent.

Imo Demo is more like A tier now in M+. The damage is pretty nuts and is really only behind your S tier specs. The only bad part about it in M+ is target cycling Demon Bolt to proc the tier set.

WW is fine BTW people. It's a complicate management classe ressoruces but i did 20+ easily. Same for Arcane - Knowing path/pack will be easier for your CD management

SV is juiced, if they tweak hunter's mark a bit then hunter and SV might be quite good in m+ (especially on tyran)

Great video. only one i disagree with ( yes i know its your opinion on this so its not fact ) is Elemental Shaman. think it's more in B tier then A. Enhancement outshines elemental in DPS and brings the same utility but slightly more (wind fury) to the group. legit no reason to bring a Elemental Shaman since Enhancement does what elemental does but better

Shadow priest in its current state (after 3 sets of nerfs in PTR) is currently one of the lowest single target and on the lower tier of AOE. I do think it will be buffed before patch release, but as of now I do not think it is strong enough to be brought over disc

Ye the nerfs every reset have been kind of wild, I was basing numbers off when the tier set was still ok (I think SWD was doing 50% of a full value one?) But it's been absolutely gutted on repeat now which is crazy... Kind of sad tbh

Eh we will see in a couple weeks where everything lands. I'm looking at mostly utility and honestly the Assassination silence is insane. That alone should bump it up to A-tier easily.

BM hunter set was changed in latest PRT to be the most recent dire beast summoned can beast cleave so yeah it's only going to be that one dire beast

Dk has the defensives yes, dk does not have, and has never had, the utility to compete with *anything* doing comparable damage w/ more utility, dk dps specs in particular are starving when it comes to actual utility

I give up playing warrior. This week affixes (Tyrannical, Incorporeal,Spiteful)showed me how lack behind other classes.We have no BL,BR,AoE stun or long CC like repentance. No wonder why i can't find group for even M14 and i'm 440 ilvl

I've watched a number of youtuber videos talking about tier lists and to be honest I am absolutely gob smacked that Frost Mage is always mid-tier in their videos? Like what? In the hands of a really good frost mage player, its damage is the highest or one of the highest in the game in mythic +. It is off the charts with double frozen orb, blizzard, comet storm and massive single target as well as insane aoe with glacial spike. Their damage profile is strong single and aoe, it brings slows, roots, shield to 3 other party members, insane utility and survivability. It brings buffs, and even food for the healer, like why does it belong in mid-tier? Oh ya, it has decurse, spell steal, hard cc, aoe stuns, I mean should I go on?

It might be a factor is doing +20 keys, but the frost mages I've played with have never done good damage in practice. Hitting target dummies you can make it go ham, but it is double lust damage so hard to tell. In reality all these tier lists are flawed rn like I mentioned in the vid, as you can't push keys and pull say 6-10 mobs consistently, it's all burst pulls l.

Shadow priest isnt A Tier by far. They nerf him 5 times already. And all that just bcs he got PI. Tier set bonus? ultimate garbage, no-one want to play his dps rotation around shadow word of death. Only priest that you will see is Disco in dungeons. Farewell Shadow for rest of the dragonflight.

Way premature to make tier lists based on damage. We're a month and a half from release and tuning has BARELY even started. Both outlaw and Havoc are coming down from S tier. Mage specs are still getting buffed in damage. And no, Feral is not the best single target spec in the game.
