I played AP blitz mid on normal game 3 days ago and top with adc were so mad from the start. Ended up getting first blood, then double kill under turret etc, we won. So yeah, nothing worst than whining from the beginning, like I HAVE to play the meta instead of having fun, especially on normal.

Blitz E has had ONE change since release. +25% ap ratio. That's it. It's always done double your ad in damage. The tooltip is just written weird as 200% ad. Which is 2x your AD. not +100% of your ad in addition to the base hit.

People used to start with a mana gem and exhaust too, go up to enemy tower and bait them into chasing by taking some tower shots before minions spawned. You run all the way back to your tower, pausing to let them hit you a few times if they start to back off, then when you get to your tower grab them and exhaust under tower. Was a first blood like 90% of the time if the opponents don't know whats happening.

This isn’t surprising, if you watch his champion spotlight you’ll see he was designed to be a fighter. I think back on the old shop too one of his items in the top was sheen. His kit is meant to be a bruise kit anyway. Double damage E, a way to get enemies to you, an AS and MS steroid, a silence, and a built in shield when things go south. Even has a boxing skin. When he came out people just played him as a supp because he really can hold down the enemy and feed the adc. But if you breakdown his kit, especially now that the ultimate is upgraded to strike the last target you autoed vs random, you’ll see he really is a fighter champion 100%. When I play him support I usually always get sheen atleast on him if I can spare it early. Really helps get that damage out there for the adc.

additionally if you look at other characters with the hook type of move. pudge, roadhog, stitches, etc they are all more pushed as bruisers. i just thinking league didnt care to force him into a bruiser identity

Fun fact: In Dota 2, Pudge (basically Blitzcrank) while commonly played as a support or ganker, is seni-rarely played as a frontline bruiser. Although with pudge it makes more sense due to his absurd base health growth and self-damageing spell.

Fun fact, when Blitzcrank was created by Riot, they designed him to be a toplaner, but failed as he was better suited for Support after all. Same story with Maokai and Nautilus who were supposed to be junglers, but ended up top or support aswell.

I miss playing Kayle support back when it was actually viable. 1200 range heals+movespeed, targeted Q that slow and shred armor/MR, 60 cd Ults that costed no mana and lasted 4 seconds, Kayle was a different kind of busted back in like season 4.

Can you play "lightning strikes blitz" with static shyv? His ult passive gives his autos lightning damage and so does shyv. You could pay on hit or attack speed. If you want to get really funky, add malignance for the burn in his ult autos

Instead of shojin I'd suggest navori. Blitz's E extra damage can crit (a weird on hit exception), the hit itself triggers navori for the E CD reduction (and all other abilities too). After that you might adapt the build more or not. Maybe an essense reaver instead of muramana. Or maybe frozen heart and maximize item stats for a jack of all trades rune instead of more crit.

You keep ulting in long fights, which is fine when you're trying to burst someone, especially because of how low the cd is, but when ult is on CD you lose the 137 or whatever delayed extra damage on autos, so if you're auto'ing more than 3 more times after you ult its a net loss of damage
