Yay, shout out, thanks James. It's been a pleasure to watch and comment on your video's. It warms my heart that you have gone from a reseller on the side to a full time sole income seller. You were so brave, especially when you have a family to support, and it is wonderful to see all your hard work pay off. 😃👍. Did you get Vinted snipe withdrawl symptoms....🤣...twitchy fingers, sweats....I love the vintage made in England DM's. Happy New year to you and the family, look forward to 2025 video's.

Mate, i was talking about this the other day, the whole process these days is so much better/easier than even 3or4 years ago when you used to have to account for everything after the sales, paying fees monthly, even if you go back a bit further having to pay postage at the post office, no easy evri drop offs etc. People dont appreciate enough how easy it is these days.

I spotted something in a charity shop over Xmas that I had to buy, let me know if I can get it to you somehow! A token of thanks for your great content. ☺

People need to realise that its not all about revenue its the actual profit...so £62k less fees £11k = £51k then 20% corporation tax to pay = roughly £40k profit, then you have dividends tax of 8% which would leave you with £37k in your pocket. This is not included salary or expenses

If you are looking at increasing listing's and therefore turn over be aware of the VAT threshold. It's something you probably want to stay under. As a former bookkeeper I've seen many a small business turn from profitable to struggling when they hit it. And a KZbin finance video would be really interesting :). Shock horror....from a finance background I find it fascinating 😆 🤣 😂 😹
@swan2886Күн бұрын
I was thinking that too. Isnt it 40% tax over 50k? ....
@thecraftylarder6943Күн бұрын
@@swan2886income tax is nothing to do with VAT. Also, the threshold is on profit and he will be nowhere near that.

@swan2886 £90k turnover. In a reselling business it works out at a 1/6 of your profit.

What are the GSP changes you mentioned?
@Essydyk2 күн бұрын
Your shipping fees will add a fair chunk to that as well. I buy all my shipping labels on Ebay and final fees work out just over 25%. Only have 2 or 3 promoted multi-buy listings @2%. Going to be interesting to see what changes Ebay makes this year because there's far too many people buying to make a profit as private sellers and avoiding all the fees.
@judithpride1690Күн бұрын
Add the cost of goods and the income tax due payable and the income is roughly one-third of gross sales. If VAT threshold of £90K is likely, then it might be an idea to register for VAT now (you don't have to wait until it hits 90K) and then you can claim VAT back on packing goods and other business expenses.
@GoslaVidsКүн бұрын
Crazy £62k...imagine being a consultant working 3 days a week in dubai earning £30k a month!
