“They may forget your name but they will never forget how you made them feel.” - Maya Angelou Your content makes me feel so inspired. I am in nursing school aka dying under copious amounts of textbooks & flash cards. Since the reading is dense I am always searching new techniques to "study smart". Writing > Typing : when it comes to making summary as it makes you read and write almost at the same time for the important points Printed > Ebook : when it comes to making marginal notes I think that the traditional way is still the best way when it comes to studying and not to mention making flash cards. I don't know but I feel stressed looking in a monitor screen with two apps being the ebook and word doc fitted together in order to read and write a summary of it. That is obvious multi tasking and it creates more anxiety to me when preparing for an exam. Thanks for the tips Ana! I will definitely try active reading but this time, not on my laptop. :)

Super good advice! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. My favourite quote is: "Don't ever forget how hard you've worked to get to the point you are right now. All of those moments you chose to take the hard path over the easy path; it will pay off. It truly will. Just be patient.". I found it on tumblr years ago and since then it has always been in the back of my mind. Everytime that I find myself stressed out over my university work load I think of how rocky the path has been for me to get to this point and how I have managed to keep going. Be proud of your past self for getting you here and if your past self could take it back then, there is nothing that you can't do right now if you put your mind to it! Greetings from Germany ❤❤

Really love your channel. Actually, your videos motivate me to study! One of my favorite quotes is by JK Rowling's Harvard commencement speech "I talk about the benefits of failure - simply because failure means a stripping away of the inessential - I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was and began to direct all my energy into the only work that mattered to me - the one arena in which I truly belonged - I was set free… it is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautious you might as well have not lived at all - in which case you have fail by default." It reminds me that adversity is in a way desirable for me to grow as a human being. Yet, I think my all time favorite is "I am never going back down on my word. That's my way of ninja (nindo)." It's from Masashi Kishimoto's manga Naruto. I grew up with the whole anime manga thing and felt strong emotion watching/reading it. The quote means, similarly to Rowling's, that you never give up on things that are important for you. It's not only about adversity but also about getting stronger as a human - meaning that you become more humane and begin to take responsibility for your actions. This is quote by Naruto's character who grows wiser as the manga progresses capturing his loyalty towards his friends and people as well as his philosophical pursuit of breaking the cycle of hatred embedded in the ninja world (wars). As it was part of my upbringing I can't relate to any quote more that motivates me as much to pursue my path of life to help others.
