I don't get why so many people are complaining; the kid said it was all going to be catchy breakdowns rather than heavy ones. Who cares that Mayday Parade was an entry? Pop punk bands (I use the term loosely here) can have breakdowns. It's not something that only metalcore bands are allowed to do. The only problem is that the person doesn't seem to have a very expansive library. Some catchy breakdowns from Stretch Armstrong or Gorilla Biscuits would have been nice.

Why is everyone up in arms and talking Shit about Mayday Parade being in this list. Like I get you're not used to breakdowns being in a song that isn't slamming on the guitar, and brutalizing the drums. To be honest, it happens more than you think, but it goes unnoticed and underappreciated. What you don't realize is if you make the Mayday Parade breakdown louder, and deeper, you have a basic post hardcore/metal/"screamo" breakdown, so before shooting your mouth off, think, research, then firmly shut the fuck up, sincerely, A Pop-Punk, post-Hardcore, Hard Rock, "Emo", and Metal fan

LethargicGamer parkway drive is very breakdown-centigrade, whereas I feel the trick loses value each time you repeat it. So I took the most standout ones then moved on to a new band, and in this case they basically did a hat trick. Can't think of too many btbam breakdowns, except maybe ants of the sky around 10 minutes in. Hah, a breakdown after 10 minutes, when many bands can't stop breaking down to get running in the first place [I'm looking at you, iwrestledabearonce]
