Jordane Parkes 🤔 I mean Pit is a decent all around character but is just held back because he has nothing all to special about him, while link is a great zoner who can approach with things like f-tilt with high risk high reward scenario and actual has his bomb gimmicks which can confirm into a dash grab. In the end Pit could get into links face but not really kill him but instead gimp him & link can get into pits face and has more than enough options to kill pit. I’d say link has the winning matchup

Nair trains into z drop footstool is something I've been trying to get in actual games but I haven't practiced enough. I don't often recognize opportunities to go for them either.
@masteroogway81764 жыл бұрын
To practice, I would say to first thinking about using your great neutral options to get them off the ledge from even the smallest moves like jab. From there you can control which setups to go for because they only have 3 options or so. make a setup for each option then practice it until you recognize them easily.
Any tips on how to consistently short hop? Or Bair while running forward? I seem to have trouble with those inputs. Solid video. I can see why Sakurai hasn't buffed Link in the last 7 patches. Because they probably know that if you frame perfect everything, you can 0 to death them.
@Severnex4 жыл бұрын
Do you already use X (joycons) or Y (gc controller) to jump? If you already do or don't, it just takes a lot of practice to quickly tap the button. For the bair, imagine doing a streetfighter Sonic boom without having to hold back for 2 seconds. I practice by always running forward (for momentum and ease), visualize your character hitting the brakes by pressing the opposite direction, jump+look back into the momentum direction and attack.
@navataru4 жыл бұрын
@@Severnex I use a gamecube controller with tap jump on. For some combos and linking moves I use the X-button to jump. However for movement and recovery, I use the tap jump. Yea i'm just having a difficult time running forward and doing a turn around. The game just turns me around and dashes the other way for me.
@LxZLink4 жыл бұрын
@@navataru the easiest way to short hop is to slide your finger off the jump button instead of tapping it :)
@navataru4 жыл бұрын
@@LxZLink I've tried that, my hand dexterity doesn't match up, I suppose? I was told that pressing A and Y to jump at the same time limits my jump to a short hop no matter what. But that means I'm always forcing a nair.
@LxZLink4 жыл бұрын
@@navataru you can always map 2 buttons to jump. if you press them both t the same time it will short hop. I do recommend learning the traditional way, i suppose:) It's really easy, you just need to get the hang of it! It was tough for me at first too but now i dont even have to think about it.
