I've gone back n forth on this finance (especially the matter of prenup) issue a lot. I wish I cld send him a question directly. It's not that u don't trust the person but rather u cannot control how the person will change 10 yrs from now. Even God said he regretted creating man at some point. Of course the person u marry today is someone u trust but if that person gets up 10 yrs from now n walks out regardless of counseling etc., u can't force them to stay. Why are we ok with every kind of insurance (life, home, car) but not a prenup😢 which is pretty much a financial insurance? Like he mentioned person can be determined to fight for the marriage when the other one mentally left a long time ago n nothing can change their minds.
@petakiliyaonlinetv20516 ай бұрын
What is prenup about?
@yomide_naturals4 ай бұрын
@@petakiliyaonlinetv2051an agreement entered into by a couple - preferably in good time before a marriage - which sets out how assets will be divided if they divorce or the marriage is dissolved

Having the idea of prenup before getting married shows that you're already thinking of divorce happening at any point in time and you don't totally trust this person.
@po74954 ай бұрын
@yomide_naturals while I absolutely respect your views, I don't agree and I don't think having a prenup is a sign of distrust. I live in the US so I'll speak only concerning the laws here, anyone who is married here is required by law to have the marriage registered at a court, whether it's signed at a church, at Vegas...wherever. Now, what do u that is? It's a contract; we don't have contracts because we expect everything to go right, contracts by their very nature r created to protect each party in case something bad happens. Are you therefore saying that every Christian who's had their marriage registered (bcoz it's required by law) did so bcoz they want a divorce? No, that's not the case at all. I don't hv the time go into this n even show u a place in the Bible where God protected the property of women bcoz of marriage but like I said, I do respect your views. At the end of the day, those who believe a prenup signifies divorce will not do it and the rest of us who think about it practically and not emotionally will go for it. Everyone will do what makes them happy n that's what counts
