In the case of AI, photos/videos are "free" for a time, so that people can provide them with photos, so that they have input data to re-train the model better. In this way, they bypass copyright. I will just give you a few interesting facts to make you think (you can verify this on the internet): - Daily power consumption by ChatGPT machines is 17,000 times more compared to the average US household per day. - Cost of one A100 80GB card is about 25K USD. - META has over 3,000 thousand such cards. - Training time of a public and not very advanced animation model (SVD-XT) on 384 pieces of A100 80GB cards is 200,000 hours and consumption ~64,000 kWh.

These AI tools are becoming so advanced, that if you don't use them to your own advantage you might lose your job. To be fair it's good for us content creators (especially in combination with a little bit of Famester). Create content, make it go viral straight away, I like it honestly.

For Krea, the time used only counts for certain operations. For instance, in image to video, if you stop generation after the low quality preview but before the final render finishes (except for experimental at the moment) then that render time doesn’t count at all. If you do complete a full high quality 10 second render, then you can finish (as best I can remember) two with the free credits per day. On the other hand the real-time stills generation counts any time spent generating (though not any idle time spent in that mode). I haven’t tracked the upscaling as much.

I've played around with some of the new AI video generators. My initial efforts were not rewarding enough for the time invested in waiting for the generation to finish. However, I'm amazed at what I see other people doing, so I'm sure at some point I'll be sucked back in! Meanwhile I'm just having fun having "conquered" AI song production. Creating interesting songs on interesting topics and making static album art to post with them is occupying most of my days now. Do I really need another time sink? 🙂 But thanks for the information, and especially for providing those links.

I personally will make my art and animations without AI tools; the concept is cool just when you have experience with animation like me you could teach anyone willing to learn within a day or two. Animation is also really fun to learn and mess around with not to mention some of the mistakes can turn into comedic entertainment for yourself priceless.

Edit: Never mind lol the next thing you showed off might be exactly what I need thnx Any suggestions on getting consistent characters without using that complicated work flow tool? Or maybe something that can take a character that's in a single pose and put that character in different poses and/or different facial expressions? I've seen a lot different ways to do this with varying results, but the number of tools, time, resources needed is a lot.
