From all those tips, I have to admit I noticed as well that a lot people I get matched with (Currently Griffin 3-2) have that mentallity "I have to keep ALL my items, I can't use them/can only use them in VERY specifc situations." It ranges anywhere from Mercs not using their elbow pads AT ALL, Seers not using the owl and partly even DYING with the owl, Priestesses never using the global portal or Mechanics basically not using the bot to decode and only carry it as a shield (and no, they do NOT start using it when someone else pings that they're kiting). And those very specifc situations for which the players save their items up are usually situations in which the match is basically over with a fat loss for us survivors. It's partly so bad that my teammates get MAD at me for using my items to extend my kite (especially if the hunter commits to chasing a First Officer at the beginning of the match).

This is very true for example ive seen injured perfumers think oh well im injured no point in using the perfume when really you can use it to mind game them,make them think you'll go back or stay even if you extend the chase for 10 more secs as a minds eye thats a lot. And again something you mentioned is the seer that doesn't use the owl but will die with it or not using it on the teammate kiting first

@@mtheroes3296 People don't realize how much time using items or even hiding can waste. I've had 3 cipher "kites" with just triggering the hunters tinnitus for sometime and then do a mediocre (at best) kite afterwards. Or the amounts of time I forced the hunter to follow me away from every cipher because, they really wanted to take out all elbow pads of me as Mercenary or even get in that one hit. For the Seer thing I personally can't even imagine what's going through their mind when they don't use the owl at all, refuse to give the owl to the person kiting and don't at the VERY LEAST give the rescuer the owl. And honestly in my humble opinion those people shouldn't be playing Seer if they don't plan on doing what he's supposed to be doing and should perhaps rather play Perfumer and let someone play Seer that actually wants to support the team with the owl.

Tbh I don’t use my global at all during a match a lot because I don’t have a full rank team and randoms have the IQ of below 0 and end up using my portal and getting knocked and then having the hunter teleport over to them. Global should only be used by the priestess herself or if it’s dire but no, I see randoms casually use it when they had room to kite elsewhere and be safer. Also using global at the beginning can tell the hunter where everyone has spawned if they memorize the cipher spawns so it’s always risky. I just stick with using my portals to kite longer and after the 80 second mark where if I send one out it wouldn’t disrupt anyone’s decoding

@@ovo5686 By the time you have your global portal available, the hunter has more often then not already found a target to chase and if not, it would've been only a matter of time until the hunter finds someone because,1. not every hunter is apparently blind AND deaf and doesn't realize someone has been decoding on cipher X, Y or Z and 2. It's getting more and more popular that hunters bring Quenching Effect, so there's that. That your teammates use the global portal during kites or after a rescue is quite literally the purposes of that portal, despite having a good chance the hunter has teleport. It's their last ditch effort to waste more time. Besides if they managed to kite from where they were found/rescued over to a global portal, that means a good chunk of time has already been wasted. And I said it once and I will say it again, if you don't plan to use everything your character has to offer especially in cases like Seer or Priestess, let somebody else play those characters, somebody that is actually interested in playing those characters to fulfill their purpose despite "randoms" being "randoms" sometimes. Because as little as you want to hear this one, you acting like you're above your teammates and make it an "everybody for themselves" type of game, does more harm then good.

I use my items as soon as possible. Depending on the hunter. Some hunters I can Kite barley using my skill, meanwhile sometimes I have to use the skill to the maximum

The biggest kiting tip I learned from another video of yours was throwing down pallets and looping hunters on longer wall areas (especially on moonlit) and only transitioning away after u force them to break the pallet. That was a huge game-changer for me and my kiting improved 10/10. That tip alone, if the hunter didn't have blink would allow me to kite longer even while injured.

my tip is try practice kiting with 36 not 39 (most chatacters are supposed to run tide anyways except for characters like seer), or even try kiting with characters like mech. if you practice with these and looping pallets, u will learn more efficiently

thats not true, only rescuers are *supposed* to carry tide but that doesnt mean you cant carry for the others but if its a kiter its better to carry 39 (unless team needs a tide)

@@sare5822not necessarily. some cords don't even bring it. if you're a kiter your kit is already designed to keep you alive longer. take perfumer for example, she has several lives so she might as well carry tide to help the team. there's no right or wrong except for charas like merc really. builds can always be flexible

@@sare5822 uhhh not rly. idk what tier u play in, but almost every roles including containment is recommended to bring tide. i play in alicorns every season and team without 3 tide is a bit unstable bc u gotta consider if the tide surv kites and gets chaired. i play all chatacters on tide except for seer. also u wouldnt want a kiter other than perfumer or equivalently ranked kiter bc if kiters don't kite first they have absolutely 0 contribution to the team other than decoding (in this case u might as well just do a decoder character instead), kiter in general r not recommended bc they dont do anything particular if they dont get to kite so why not bring tide and make urself useful u know. i mean if theres already 3 tides in team, sure go for 39. and also ur supposed to be able to kite 60s almost under any circumstances with any build and skills/traits unless ur mechanic. this is coming from higher than average tiers so it might only apply for high griffin+ but yeah at least thats how it is for me and my tier ranks. im griffin 2 with 63% wr currently at top 0.5%ish. im not forcing ppl but im saying this will help team a lot... carrying tides for the team u know :)

The thing with "use your items" is actually good but there are some hunters that will make you waste them. They make grave keepers, coordinators and mercs use their items and then they don't even try to cach them anyway. It might depend of the tier you're at but items are sometimes too important to be wasted

The feet thing makes me so mad when I play hunter. So many times I got pallet stunned and I SWEAR my body was not close enough for me to get stunned. But I guess if 1 pixel of my feet was in the pallet, I'll get stunned. I'll try to be more mindful of my feet as a hunter lol.

Yeanh he is right, get into hunter's mind is the very difficult tip to learn, it took me 7 months to learn it but you can't still use it 100% effectively because even though you meet the same hunter, but the different hunter user. So don't be sad if you fail to do it, sometimes top players, COA players or even champion idv team may fail at getting into hunter's mind, they just do it better but they still can fail.

Another tip I have is abuse hunter missed attack cuz usually when hunter missed a hit, they can't hit again for a few small seconds and u can use that to clutch a pallet vaulting, transition or looping

Yess. I remember when I was in a rank match and the cipher machine was primed, I had went to go save a teammate from the chair as I had tide turner but my other teammate popped the cipher right when I was at the chair causing me to get downed immediately by the hunter because they had detention 🤧🤧

Does anyone actually looks at the radar? For people who still don't know very well the maps, when the hunter is close, instead of looking behind you, you can look at the radar so you know where you are going and the location of the hunter, but you still have to look behind you sometimes

Yeah, what I suggest you do is always look while decoding so you won’t get surprised by the hunter. I’ve caught survivors easily in matches because they vault a window or throw down a pallet before decoding.

It will but a thing he didn’t touch on considering it’s a *kiting* guide and not a game sense guide, is that you should learn spawn locations that tend to have the hunter come to you first and learn to A.rotate or B.prepare the kiting area for yourself/others later. For instance on red church throwing down the pallets in the middle would help both you and your teammates in the long run since they’re not good looping pallets, rather they’re speed boost pallets (pallets solely used to get knee jerk boost to transition/loop). Same goes for taking down the two breakable walls closest to the solid wall near red carpet/wedding (they’re not next to each other rather parallel to one another), to create the “infinite loop.”
