Also, there are some confusion about the red text is Chara who said that. Actually, it was Frisk. Bunch of clues are: *(It's me.) -reveal that the red text when you checked on the mirror is Frisk. *(Where are the knives.) -Frisk is searching some knives to kill Monsters. *(No chocolate.) -Suprisingly, in neutral route, if you checked the fridge in new home, Chara said, *(bunch of things... i dunno) probably saying there is no chocolate mentioned. I have a theory. Chara is always there. By that, I mean, she’s even there in pacifist. For example, when froggit says ‘ribbit ribbit’ Chara understands it, and she translates for us. In genocide, she gets corrupted by the player, and you can see her, but in pacifist, she doesn’t get corrupted by determination, so she stays good. Everyone says ‘Oh, Chara, she’s the bad guy in the story’ but for reals, she’s not. AAAAND before you say ‘Chara doesn’t have a gender, check your facts’ Toby Fox himself said that Chara was a girl. About chara, when you pause the game, the stats show a small screen with the name you had choosen, but then, at the right there is another menu with the same stats and the weapon/armor that "chara" has. Notice that in these menus, there is chara, and "chara". Possibly meaning that "chara" is frisk and chara togheter. While out of combat you control frisk, in combat you control chara, thats why the name appears without saying "chara". It could be more likely that chara was the one who fights or gives mercy. Thats why undertale adresses frisk and chara as "they"? Since "they" is "chara"?

Hold on hold on the statue in waterfall has a deeper story! The statue was once in that mettaton statue’s place and the Matt resort used to be the dreemur place but then they took the statue out and put it in waterfall. Also here’s a tip if you wanna play undertale with the statue just stay near the statue and then once your around it enough the answer will show at the top of the screen also the statue’s song is called “his theme” which is little asreil’s theme and there’s a music box in the statue that activates if you do something kind near it also the statue is also another way for gaster to see because the statue used to be colored then gaster touched it through the void and he can see out of it. The game earth bound welp fun fact all this undertale stuff and characters were gonna be in there but then they just didn’t and Toby made a game on the characters he worked hard on. So easier terms Toby made most of the music and characters in undertale to be in earth bound but it didn’t work out so Toby made a game with all of it. I am also gonna explain frisk and chara but to do that we gotta go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back to the beginning. Chara climes mount. Ebott to commit suicide but while climbing it she trips and falls into the underground, Asriel finds her and helps her, he gets his parents (toriel and asgore) they helped her but they hid there tools or knifes from her because she would cut herself or even try and kill herself. And one day chara and asriel were trying to make a pie for their parents as a thank you thing but one ingredient was buttercups... they didn’t know those were poisonous and when asgore tried it, he got sick. Chara started laughing but not because she wanted it to happen it’s because she was laughing the pain away which many other monsters do. Chara wanted to see the golden flowers that were in a village so she told asriel the plan, asriel went along with it. Chara then ate the buttercups she died very painfully and when she finally died asriel obtained her soul and crossed the barrier while he was in the golden flower village on the way back he got shot by humans and died when he crossed back into the barrier. Then now comes frisk... years past frisk was climbing mount ebbot because she heard the site at the top was glorious and worth the climb. But when she climbed she tripped and fell into the underground, and chara’s soul was stuck in the underground but when frisk entered they both had a determination soul and chara entered frisk’s body. Now chara doesn’t interfere much on the pacifist route but on the genocide route she indeed lay does. She was never evil until frisk came, frisk was the one who killed every monster but 3 because when frisk faced sans frisk was too slow and chara interfered at the end frisk tries to kill him but when he dodges chara strikes and she succeeds. Then they face asgore who talks about flowey crying and how he has never seen a flower cry but then flowey kills him then after that chara is so mad at flowey that she kills him and strikes him a lot. Then you see and meet chara, she actually turned evil by the monsters hate frisk caused then frisk blames chara for possessing her and killing monsters but that’s not true. Now you may be like how can chara get the monsters hate? Well that’s because when asriel crosses back into the barrier with chara’s soul he died and chara was filled over her limits with hatred to the humans but she then lost that for being around for years but when frisk started killing chara felt hatred for frisk and chara absorbed the monsters hate. Also fun fact about chara, she absolutely loves chocolate. And also chara’s soul at the end of genocide turns to the hate soul. Anyways that is chara and I can go way way way way way way way way deeper into her story but I already wrote enough so yup hope ya learned a lot!

This is a comment I made in an earlier video an sense I'm earlier I show it to those who missed it. I've got a theory. People have questioned what happens when a monster and a human have children. I think I got a good idea what happens......... UNDYNE IS WHAT HAPPENS! Or at least her race is. It would explain why she can produce and use Determination, and just think of the irony of how much Undyne hated humans. Also out of all of the bosses Undyne looks the most like a human, by the way Mettaton doesn't count because he is a Ghost like Napstablook then got a robotic body. Anyway that's just a suggestion.

Actually, all monsters can produce Determination. If you look at the logs in Alphys' lab, she mentions something about Monsters not being able to handle high levels of Determination because they lack physical substance. She had also mentioned that Determination was the basic will to live, so any living thing that can think and make choices has Determination (take Flowey for example). Therefore, all Monsters have some amount of Determination. Gerson also mentioned that Undyne became Captain of the Royal Guard through "sheer grit and determination," so I guess that the reason why Undyne can produce so much Determination during the Genocide route is because she is more determined than most Monsters. In the Genocide route, she became so determined to stop you that she started producing even more. She was able to harness so much Determination for a little while, but it eventually becomes too much, which is why she melts. I do like the Human/Monster theory though. I even have a theory for how Humans and Monsters can have kids. :)

Rozu777 But why can Undyne process so much more than everyone else, how come no other monster can use that much, also Underlab said mentioned in his video theorizing why everything goes white in an undertale battle, that one of his supporting facts in his theory was that almost every boss in the game has white on them, except for Undyne. His only explanation was that Undye uses mostly physical attacks and less magic compared to most monsters. As a matter of fact, this color speculation holds evidence for my theory, that almost every boss has white on them, except for Undyne, who has another important color on her, her RED hair which as we've seen is the color of DETERMINATION. The dog shrine is actually in the Nintendo switch version! Except this time it’s ruined and damaged, which begs the question ‘Are different platforms different universes that are set in different times?’ Like in the pc version of Undertale, it’s the first version, the earliest time. The PS4 version is the second earliest time, and the Nintendo version is the latest version, the version set the latest.

I really wish the game would explain more of Chara's story. She had such a happy life before, but chose to cut it short so Asriel could leave the barrier. Then she can be brought back to life by going on a murderous rampage. Was she always a violent sociopath even when living with the royal family? Or does her spirit know about what happened to Asriel and want revenge or something

As for Chara being always present - remember that in Genocide Run, Chara calls self "the demon that comes when people call its name." - so in other words - player's by naming the Fallen Child quite literally bring Chara back.

This is old but I have a theory on naming chara: in the genocide route you teach them to kill is right. Now in the pacifist route you hear chara wasn’t exactly the nicest person but still ok. In the pacifist route they make a new name for themselves; frisk. Oh yeah, I think chara came back through determination in a different form.

I believe it is up to the player's interpretation and that you shouldn't discourage other people's point of view by stating something obvious as saying it's not canon, unless Toby Fox says it isn't then whatever you want the missing info to be doesn't have to be untrue. Besides, that makes WAY much more sense if you consider how they're very similar, are connected always, the narrator has some personality and can be optimistic (pacifist) or pessimistic (genocide) and that Asgore tells the player how they remind him of the human that fell long ago and also Asriel mistakes you for Chara in the pacifist run. Since there's no cannon info about where did Chara's soul ended, it may have gotten out after Asriel and Chara died and eventually ended up on a new human years later. But that's just a theory... -A GAME THEORY! THANKS FOR WATCHING!-

Another thing is that on the Nintendo Switch version there is a room under the sink and Sans’ and Papyrus’s house. There is a locked door, and after you fight metaton the lock falls off and you can open it. You then see a life size Mew Mew Kissy Cutie doll there. When you fight her the joycons are used since your soul is split in two to dodge the attacks. You can’t beat her though, since she just kills you and you respon in front of the kitchen. I found it when I got the game and thought it was pretty cool.

Chara's name appearing in the epilogue could be tied in to the fact that EarthBound is Everywhere. The thing is, in EarthBound, even after you naame the main cast, the character Tony will make several calls to you, asking for things like your name, which isn't used until the ending. You name a character who is not you, and you name you, but at the start, you think them to be the same in both cases.

About Undertale being connected to Earthbound, in the code of the game there is a line that is EXACTLY the same as in a area in Earthbound: Moonside. In Earthbound you can select your favourite food, and this character in Moonside would insult it, saying he hates it. In Undertale, the line is said but the food is “bepis”

I never thought the 98 robot was an early design for Mettaton. My personal theory is that there could've been a removed Mettaton basketball / sports scene during the course of hotland. The 98 really does look like a basketball number, if you think about it. There are a few hints to this. 1: The basketball on the MTT news scene. 2: In papyrus' dating scene, we see his "cool dude" basketball outfit. Notably, the oo on the shirt are the only neatly written letters, implying papyrus was number 00 on a basketball team somewhere.

I think I know why Chara's name is on the stats menu. At some point during the game if you have a certain amount of LV, if you look in a mirror, the narrator will say "It's me, Chara". This leads me to believe Chara is the narrator for Undertale. And at the end of the no mercy run, Chara will describe themselves as 'the feeling you get when a number increases'. Some people use this as evidence to say that Chara is the embodiment of LOVE, but I don't think this is true. Their name is on the stats menu, so they are the one who gets the LV from our murders. So they aren't LOVE itself, but we are feeding it to them. I just pretty much quoted a theory from Judgement Boy, but I honestly fully agree with that one. Hope this helped :3
