I mean no offense. I understand why Simon isn't here anymore and I was really getting used to Carl. I am, however, really having trouble with this new guy (and not because he's not English). His delivery is an obvious script read where Carl makes it seem more authentic. A suggestion for this new presenter: change your camera angle. Don't talk up to it. Stand up and connect with your audience at eye level and also, when you "riff" try to make it more natural. I hope you do well. Also, there is absolutely no reason to listen to me but I felt I had to say something

@@sproutsrevil6508 there’s a video from a few months back now. The gist is that the owner of the channel (Shell Harris) passed away and his daughter (Shannon) took over managing it. However she was having difficulty balancing it and the rest of her life which led to friction between her and Simon. They agreed to sever contract and go their separate ways. Shannon made a video explaining the situation and taking a lot of responsibility for what happened in her own shoulders, and Simon was very professional in not dragging dirt or making a massive deal about it.

Pompeii is intense. Definitely worth the tour. Just walking through the city is amazing, they have lead pipes all over the place for water and the brothel/bathhouse wall art was particularly fascinating. Glad I never took any tiles 😂

Why? they were legally bought and we all know the reason they were just left to deteriorate prior and what one man did to save the marbles, Britain has faithfully looked after many artifacts and let any and all see them, it has been a bastion of protection to many countries heritage, countries whom have not been so good at preserving their own unless there's a buck in it for the state, Britain doesn't do this for the money but the hope they will be around for many many centuries into the future.

If you guys what your viewership numbers to back up to what they were, I suggest using one of your two previous hosts that was actually entertaining to watch. I'm sorry Eric but it's just such a dry script read every video there's no authenticity to it. When Simon hosted, it was the peak of professionalism, a bit of humour, but well paced. When it was Karl it was more freeform and more personable Eric just kinda grates on the ears. He's not entertaining.
