Yes. What actually happened was that WCW put some belt on him (I forget which) when he wasn't signed to a contract. Vince McMahon saw an opportunity to make his rivals look stupid (not that they needed him for that) and signed him to return to his old Haku gimmick.

Papi Chulo/Essa Rios was actually one of my favorite wrestlers back in WWE during the Attitude Era, so I haven't forgotten about him, but I can easily understand why many people would, as he was never featured on the main shows all that often, and you'd usually have to watch Heat, Jakked, and Metal to see him in action. I strongly remember his brief feud with the late Eddie Guerrero and Chyna when he was paired with Lita. He's currently wrestling in his native Mexico in CMLL under the name Mr. Aguila.

+Kira Lawlet Not even close. The attitude era had alot of great matches.
@KIRA-EL8 жыл бұрын
I never said it didn't I said there was a lot of really bad stuff the because of the timne we thought it was gold. Not saying there weren't a lot of workhorses but they never really got the chance to show it. The show itself was much more character driven as a result A guy like Val Venis (who was a really good wrestler had the focus on his gimmick and never really got to shine as an in-ring preformer.Al Snow also really good and had a hell of a match with Triple H SD once but the focus was just on the fact that he's crazy. What I'm saying is a guy like Cesaro who is a beast when you put him against any era and gets over only on his wrestling wouldve been second fiddle to a guy like the godfather because one of them had an interesting gimmick and gimmicks and shock tv were very much the focus.

I loved Dan Severn and was always bummed out that he fell off the map and disappeared so quickly. He was a true badass and I think he could have definitely gone far if they had used him properly. He also had one of my favorite themes ever, just have to mention that.

I remember most of those guys actually. And I LOVED Dan Severn. He was the perfect no-nonsense strong and silent type, who just went in, wrecked you, and left.

I remember Severn's run. He was the one who injured D-Lo Brown which prompted the legend from Maine to wear the chest protector. I remember Public enemy too. Pretty much all of them.

I honestly remember Haku, K-Kwiq (now R-Truth), and Papi Chulo (mostly because he brought Lita into the WWF and just kept paying attention to her lol...then she joined the Hardy Boys and became part of team extreme).

I didn't forget about Dan Severn! But that's probably because I'm a huge fan of the early UFC.

I remember when Haku was a surprise entrant at the Royal Rumble, you could hear the crickets chirping, zero crowd reaction. It was very awkward, only JR was going nuts lol

I REMEMBER KEY!!! Seriously, I've been waiting for one of these videos to mention him. He was introduced as this mysterious figure, got bigged up by the commentators, appeared once, then vanished without trace.

I actually had totally forgotten Public Enemy was in WWF in 1999....but most of these I hadn't. There are quite a few that I think many people have forgotten about. Early 1998 had a lot of guys fade out. The Jackyl, Sniper, Recon (although most remember him as Bull Buchanan) 8-Ball, Skull, Chainz...Barry Windham was Bradshaws partner early in the Attitude era...Beaver Cleaver/Chaz (although obviously very known as Mosh, and Chaz was in N64 WrestleMania 2000 - same goes for Mideon & Meat)....Tiger Ali Singh is pretty forgotten from 1999 Attitude era...Dr Death is fairly forgotten (though was in WWF Attitude videogame with Dan Severn theme) and B.B. is a fairly forgotten diva from 1999 Attitude era...
