Just started listening to heavier black metal because my sons are metal heads and they said "Hey Mom, check this out." I'm a new and massive Gojira and Meshuggah fan now. What I’ll never get, what the hell does it matter if a person is into all different genres? Metal, classic rock and 90s hip hop my top while my playlist will have a lot of country (grew up on), R&b, alternative, any damn music that grabs my attention. Example, I knew of Hatebreed forever, my friends listen to in HS (I had friends of every damn corner, idc). I didn’t get into them until last month! Wtf right. Great band, knew about them since 90s and teen days. Some reason just didn’t put them on. I had slipknot, lamb of god, etc playlist playing on Spotify and hatebreed album pops up. I click like and it plays song after songs by them. I’m thinking “how the hell I miss this guys and know about them!?” All kinds of great tunes with their lyrics. I was late but didn’t miss 🤘
