@@jornstobbe6735 @jornstobbe6735 Thank s for your interest, I also think that a personal yt videos archive would be a great app! Anyway, my setup is very much subject to change, as I'll remove superfluous features and optimize others. I use this system both for recording what I've listen to and what I still have to listen to but isn't available on Apple Music/has more interesting and complete resources (eg. score videos for classical music) on other platforms). I have a main worksheet, where I insert every piece/album etc on a new row and have the following columns: NR: this is just for tracking the growth of my list over time, and also having hyperlinks leading me to the second worksheet I, which I'll talk about later. LISTENING STATUS: a combination of dropdown menus and conditional formatting (if any of these things are new to you, please ask) allows me to update with two clicks the color of each cell to visually represent whether I have listened to, have listened to just partially, haven't listened to at all, or I haven't listened to at all AND really want to listen to it asap. AUTHOR TITLE TYPE: is it a piece? an album? a compilation or playlist? something else entirely? MACROGENRE: eg. classical, jazz, rock, electronic, very broad terms to categorize my music SUBGENRE: eg. baroque, bebop, ambient, progressive rock and many more specific terms I use just for reference, since trying to be perfectly precise in this column would pretty much impossible unless I wasted my life on it YEAR LENGTH isFAVORITE?: colored checkboxes for my favorite pieces (don't use normal Excel checkboxes, they're slow af. you can find a forum article with some very useful VBA code (a macro) that does just the same, but better RB: "Recommended By, for writing some friends or others who have recommended specific things. Miscellaneous NOTES: it varies. Of course, I do not compile every column for every entry, I'd say that only the first four are essential, I might deletes some of the other ones. The next worksheet instead contains links to score videos, interviews, articles, analyses etc related to the entries. I use formulas to automatically transcribe each title from the previous worksheet at the beginning of each row, so that I always know where to write what. Then, I have a worksheet for other reference links related to music but not necessarily specific artists or albums, such as tutorials, cool KZbin channels. I won't delve on the organization of this last part in this comment, it's already long enough. Finally, there's one that I use for generating formulas and testing solutions.
