I can’t stress enough how great Mark and JJ are as pool commentators. Individually and as a pair ( absolutely the best duo ever ! ) At least in my 35 years of watching pool . Folks , If you want to learn POOL, listen to these Guys !!! By the way, I still would like to know Ken Shuman’s justification for not penalizing Jason for grabbing the ball as that ball would surely have changed the layout of the table. Now I really like Ken and I really like Jason, But I saw Earl S. Hit a ball with his cue stick, which caused exactly what would have been the same result, and he had to forfeit the game. (Oh, by the way, speaking of great commentators,Earl is the only other one in the same class as Mark and JJ. ) In my opinion. Thanks Accu-Stats !

There is enough technology to allow a button in the booth that the commentator can activate on demand. The camera man takes too many breaks or distractions. It would boost audience appreciation of the sport! I hope a somebody reads this and gets the point.

I have known Mark Wilson for many years, and I can say without hesitation that he is well spoken, polite, and a perfect gentleman. Having said that, I think he is a little too effusive in his praise for Jayson Shaw. It is perfectly clear to anyone who is a fan of the sport that Jayson is a huge talent, and that Mark is his biggest fan, but every shot that Jayson makes is not fantastic, stupendous, or exceptional, or tremendous.. I think Mark does Jayson a dis-service by not allowing Jayson's talent speak for itself. The playing public does not need to be spoon-fed....we are perfectly capable of recognizing a good shot when we see it.

As an aside, Non-US players seem more comfortable with the bridge than US players. My guess is that its the influence of Snooker, where the table is so big, a bridge/rest is sometimes flat-out required.
