I agree with Mark 100 percent, do not ever make the pockets smaller than 4.5 inches, and make the races to 8 or 9, so people dont get bored. Races to 11 are too long. I would even say make the races to 7.

At the International 9-Ball Open, the races will now be to 10, not 11.

Why does shaw use such a long cue? And why is he also breaking with the cue he is playing with?
@DavidNYC83

Long cues are great. I use a 60 in (I’m 6ft) and it truly is game changer. My stroke has been able to open up completely.

@@DavidNYC83 ahhhh okay. I'm only 5'6 so it was a little odd at first. Makes since for taller players
@minggoenarso
@minggoenarso 2 жыл бұрын
Shaw just loves playing with the cue extension attached, also SVB and Earl Strickland. I think Earl started it. Derby Bigfoot Challenge is played on a 10-foot table and only 1 cue allowed to play if I’m not mistaken.
@shayne.7770
@shayne.7770 2 жыл бұрын
@@minggoenarso I'm actually thinking of getting an extension for my cue because 5'6 playing on a 9 foot table is very tough haha. But forget that, I would refuse to play this simply because I'm not breaking with my playing cue. I'd just get a break cue and play with that
@minggoenarso
@minggoenarso 2 жыл бұрын
@@shayne.7770 most pool players have an extension for their cues, but they normally don’t have it attached at all time. It is not advised to have it attached at all time because it changes the weight and balance of the cue, but very few players like it that way. Breaking with your playing cue won’t hurt the cue. You might get the tip flatten a little faster, but that’s about it. Pool players have different break cues to achieve better breaks, not because breaking will damage your cue faster. If you have a phenolic tip on your break cue, you won’t be able to play with it. The Pros are so good at controlling the break, and jumping, so The Derby City Classic having the 1 cue constraint to make the game harder.

I find myself wondering i the fact that it's a 10-foot table will pop into a olayers head as he decides how hard to hit a shot for position...both of these came long on position shots...Corteza even scratching on one for sure.

Much prefer Jeremy Jones & Danny as commentators. And return to traditional color balls!!!! 3,4,& 5 all look the same. 6& 7 are indistinguishable. Commentators should TELL us which balls are which. You know.......like EARL DOES! Earl's commentary is factual w/o trying to impress with vocabulary or other B.S.!!
