HARD AGREE - why do they have to be ‘beautiful’?!! I don’t see any lists of the 10 most handsome male guitarists of all time all over social media, nobody gives a sh*t that Joe Satriani might be the weirdest looking dude on the planet…this crap is just constant and it pisses me off. It’s why I refuse to wear make-up, or even brush my hair in most of my videos, I always ask myself ‘would I bother doing this if I was a man’ and most of the time the answer is no, I’d just make the video I want to make and upload it so that’s what I do.

But the truth is, you can’t see any of them on a recording as you listen to it, so their appearance has no sway on their perceived talent there, only their actual abilities are represented for scrutiny. And none look as good as people like Gilmore or Stevie ray etc sound.
