The Wachau actually forms the northern border of the Mostviertel. While there are many foreign tourists in the Wachau Region, especially in Melk, Spitz and Krems, the Mostviertel is relatively peaceful and the holidaymakers are mainly Austrians. But you will need a car or lots of patience.The public transport is atrocious. For the Wachau there is a wonderful option that combines train and boat ride. Highly recommend.

Here is a list and an example-song: Bilderbuch ("Maschin", "Plansch") Leyya ("Zoo", "The Fall", "Solitude") Wanda ("Columbo", "Bolognia") Naked Cameo ("Shangri La", "Dead Weight") Sharktank ("HAPPY", "Too much") Josh. ("Cordula Grün", "Von dir ein Tattoo") Folkshilfe ("Mir laungts", "Maria Dolores") Pressyes ("Atlantic Ocean Spray", "Years") My Ugly Clementine ("Who", "The Good The Bad The Ugly") One ticket should not be more than 40€. Most tickets will be more like 25€. Because "big bands" in austria are still kind of "small" compared to Coldplay, Rammstein etc, but we love them. If you have the chance to visit a concert, do it :D

@Laurin Jagenbrein of course. Just imagine, to get to Sochi from St. Petersburg you need to drive 2500 kilometers (we go twice a year), and 1600 km to Austria. Or another example, to get to Lake Baikal you need to drive 4500 km. Therefore I believe, is not such a great distance. When the borders were opened, we traveled from St. Petersburg to Lisbon.

Austria did a lot of evil during its imperial rule over the Slavic peoples and during the two world wars, and it was never adequately punished. Austria was not plundered and destroyed, and the Austrians did not feel the terror of war they inflicted on others around them. Everything beautiful in Austia is based on the evil they have done to others.
@axelschekolin46502 жыл бұрын
Austria was severely punished after W.W.I. Its territory shrunk dramatically with the treaty of Saint-Germain. In fact, some of Austrias hart land was given to Italy. Austrians ending up in Italy were severely punished for speaking German and practicing their culture. Many of them were resettled in Sicily. Just look at a map from 1914 and compare it to a map from1919. I would certainly call that punishment! The only more severe punishment would have been if Austria would have been broken up completely like the now "extinct" country of Burgundy. Vienna and Lower Austria could have become part of Slovakia, Styria and Carinthia a part of Slovenia, Voradelberg a part of Switzerland, Salzburg and Tyrol could have gone to Italy, Upper Austria to the Czech Republic. Burgenland could have possibly become a matter of dispute, due to its geographic location. Germany and Hungary would have gone empty handed, since they lost the war, so they could not have been granted any of its States. The Austrian part of the Habsburgs, rather than the Hungarian part, allowed that all their ethnic groups could pursue their languages and their cultures, which also included Jews. It was essential for the Austrian part of the Habsburg agenda to gradually grant all their peoples extensive rights. If you look at the number of social and economic reforms which were issued, beginning in the 1870's up to 1914, you will be amazed. Taxes, and not just for big business, were minimal across the Empire. Their sovereigns, however, had to serve the military in exchange for the freedoms which were granted to them. This shows that the Austrian part of the Habsburgs did not follow the British and French model of colonialism. I would refer anybody who is interested in the fascinating history of the Habsburg Empire to read the modern standard on this topic "Habsburgs" by Peter Judson. Enough said. W.W. II was a different story. The problem was that the allies only executed the leading Nazis. They decided not to go after the others, since there was nobody else who could run the country anymore, which is a morally lax position. My personal opinion is that Austria should have been handed over to the State of Israel after all the horrors which were inflected upon the Jews. They would have deserved living in this beautiful country after all the things they contributed to under the Habsburgs - supported by the U.S. and its allies. What they would have done to the Austrians would have been their business alone in my opinion.

@@axelschekolin4650 You are talking about tax policies and I am talking about forced religious and national conversion (from Orthodox to Catholic Christianity, from Serbian to Croatian identity), I am talking about war crimes that I must not describe because KZbin will probably delete my comment, I am talking about repeated war crimes in the ww2 often by the same Austrians, about a looted and destroyed country, about millions killed or tortured. That price Austrians did not pay. Western Europeans has always despized all Slavs, but especially those who did not convert to Catholicism, so I don't expect my comment to change your opinion, just know that we live with different truths.

@@Tijmen021 Really?! This video praises the beauty of Austria's orderliness, the beauty and preservation of historical buildings. How did they get it and why the nations they ruled over don't have the same thing? If the children of mobsters have a privileged upbringing and a quality education because of the wealth their fathers acquired by committing crimes, and become successful businessmen, engineers or artists, their quality is still stained by their father's crimes, and they do not deserve respect.
