10 Beginner rug tufting gun mistakes and how to fix them | Cookie Smut

In my first few beginner projects using my rug tufting gun, I noticed some mistakes I was making so I'm sharing them with you in the form of 10 Beginner Tufting Tips! This includes the ultimate dreaded beginner tufting problem of the tufting gun tearing your fabric 😱
This video is a bit long but it's all good stuff. Just throw it on 1.5 speed and watch it that way 😆

Let see.. So far in my tufting journey that I have recently began. I forgot to (#2) Flip my design.... it took hours to pull the yarn out to start over because I was all ready over an hour inn to tufting. I am making a 5' tall round rug in the design of the Devils Trap from supernatural. I still can not believe how much yarn is actually used. It is just SO MUCH! I found that for my monks cloth, that if I can fold and sew the edge, just a quick zip that takes about 10 min I can clean up the edges and do not have to worry about the edges peeling from where it is secured to the frame.

Heeey Thank you for your tips and recommendations! I have been trying to do it in small sections of the circles but I think there is something in my gun that does not allow it to burst in the correct way. Do you have any recommendations to know if the gun works properly or if something has to be done to make it burst? Thank you so much !!
