My Ali baba kayak - REEL YAKS- really let me down. Hull leak from god knows where. I even flex sealed the whole underneath and still had 4 gallons of water inside. Said f it and after demoing a few yaks, I fell in love with the Native Slayer Max 10

Thank you for giving that info on getting my kayak registered. Do I need any paperwork or do I just go and pay for the sticker? It’s got that black tag with a number on the kayak, I assume I’ll need that at least?

It really depends on the state you live in

Usually you will need 1. MSO (manufacturer statement of origin) 2. Proof of purchase 3. Assessment 4. Usually good to have a photo or etching of the serial# That should cover you in any state

I find it hard to justify that kind of money when you’re just starting out. The biggest hurdle as a beginner is will I like even like it? I felt the video was geared towards experienced kayak anglers. To come out and bash what some of us can afford starting out was a little bit offense as a brand new kayak angler. While I do watch your videos and am a subscriber, I was just a little disappointed in the casual dismissal of the less expensive kayaks. I

I said before the conversation kicked off that the best kayak is the one you can afford, and Andy gave a disclaimer that he focuses on mid and higher tier kayaks. I also shared that I am trying to develop a relationship with a company to review lower tier kayaks. Our conversation did not revolve around bashing those who can't afford higher tier kayaks, but rather a warning around those kayaks and what you could get yourself into. You can take offense... or you can see us advocating for you.
