I bought a (Böker Plus Valkyrie Bowie Frankonia SpecialEdition) today and I'm absolutely delighted with it. A sheath made of saddle leather, a blade made of 440C steel, 22.5 cm long, 6 mm thick, mirkada handle scales with mosaic pins and finger grooves absolutely beautiful piece of Bowie for around €100.

Muella makes a great blade from Spain.I have several Bowie's myself .I went on a Bowie kick and my daughter and wife thought I lost my mind.

I recently bought a western cutlery W49 large bowie from the local pawn shop and it is awesome!!!! The finest carbon steel, well balanced, brass fittings, hardwood handle. I'll never sell it. Ive got the kickass sheath, user/care manuel, and original box!! Finest craftmanship. A great buy.

I liked the show, at first I wasn't sure ,but you seem to be a genuine knife junkie, especially when you talk about having a certain knife for 25 yrs. I have had my Buck 110 since 1972 along with my Puma Great White Hunter. It went 1/2 way around the world with me in my backpack.I have a Prather war bowie & a Natchez Bowie, couldn't stand the "securex" sheath so I got a custom made one in black leather. Keep up the good work. .

The knife junkie podcast? Knife junkie? Really? All knives have certain designations that require definitions. For instance, in order for a knife to be called a Bowie knife, It must have a minimum of a 9 inch blade. (I truly cannot believe I have to actually say this.) Please understand that pocket knives are pocket knives, skinning, knives, are skinning knives. Paring knives are paring knives, Fighting knives are fighting knives, And Bowie knives are bowie knives. All have very distinctive characteristics and are not all the same. God help us.
