Yes, the AI model isn't allowed to access the internet to gain information for it's results.. Due to the big tech companies results in search engines the AI results would be biased, it learns from what the creators have screened and passed forward, with the latest data batch being from 2021. It takes years to analyze the data that is allowed to be read by the ChatGPT AI, ensuring the results aren't tainted by racism etc. because of troll groups for example. 🙂

​@@BusyMEOW I don't think that is very accurate, more like it simply is not, or was not (at the time of release), able to do that because they hadn't coded it up yet. The answers it provides are right and wrong based on what people have decided are right and wrong. You think this process eliminates bias? Umm, no. In fact, people have already noticed bias' in its answers. For example, the same question asked about Biden or Trump favors Biden, so I read. Why do you think that is? I think I know, it's because if you take a sample of computers programmers, anywhere, their political leanings are in most cases a bit left-leaning, you know, Democrats are good Republican's are evil, etc. Therefore, the answers they decide are right or wrong is based on exactly that and ergo, bias. There's no magic way to suddenly create something impartial, especially with computer systems - they just do exactly what we tell them to do.

I can tell you that I've only started using it last week for my work (I'm a data analyst) and I I've never been so productive in my whole career. I didn't have to spend hours to find solutions for fixing my broken code, I just asked ChatGTP and fixed it for me in seconds

Good question. ChatGPT is trained offline to ensure control and accuracy. Training it in real-time would need significant infrastructure, and a way to constantly feed new data as it becomes available. However, future or paid versions may allow for real-time training. Let's hope!

Its fine but its knowledge cut off is 2021...so its not going to be as "up to date" as you might hope....especially with coding. Tech changes so fast. New frameworks and even updates to existing make it difficult to get the best answers. You'll be refactoring your code. Finding a product your interested in might also be a bust because competitors, prices, capabilities, etc...change all the time. So, its fun but...
