1. thank you for the information on .97. 2. I have a Costco card through my girl friend. I shop there deliberately once every 6 months when I have the tires balanced and rotated for free. Why so infrequently? The grocery prices at the institutional food store 2 miles away are cheaper. 3. Costco is airconditioned and rain free. If it is bad weather conditions, I walk the aisles, sit and read a book. Many times I purchase nothing.

Interesting. Costco's internal operating policy must give store general managers the ability to discount. That makes sense as each store sales / inventory levels are unique, and Costco has mostly a decentralized management philosophy.
