Born in London, UK, in 1944, yes WWII, came to USA after the war for better opportunities back then. My Father was from Germany before the war, and my Mother, from Zurich, Switzer- land Switzerland 🇨🇭 a very nice place. My Mother knew the Swiss German dialect, which was helpful visiting it. My parents and I visited a good part of western Europe in 1972 and 1979. My German is good having grown up with it from home and study of it while in college too. I'm surprised Ireland is on this list. One of the worst countries in Europe I reckon. Expensive, poor infrastructure, poor government and politicians. Too many council estate troublemakers and drug addicts just roaming the streets. Great scenery and friendly people but that's about it. Give me any of the Nordic countries over it anyday.
@stalin71982 жыл бұрын
I have to agree. Compared to Nordic countries Ireland is much more alive but like said, poor infrastructure, ridiculous prices, streets filled with trouble while the police is scared and looks the other way. The same two parties taking turns pocketing money from foreign investors building new offices and hotels while thousands of people living on the streets.

Poland and the Baltic states are great places to live, not so much as a mention. Have you actually been anywhere or visited Europe, I don’t think so. A waste of time making this video. Go and visit somewhere and make a video worth watching.

So, you've moaned about at least 15 other countries not being in a top 10 places to live in Europe. A moronic start. I've lived in several European countries and none of those you mention should be in the top ten, although France and Greece should be way above England in any desirable list of countries to move to. Dreadful, patronising comment, and I'd suggest if you think that Italy, Portugal, Austria, The Czech Rep and Hungary [!] should be in the top ten, you've not lived in any of them.

@@avalanche816 if anyone is a moron its you, since you contradicted yourself almost immediately, I mentioned France and Greece as fine countries yet you say none of the countries I mentioned are worthy of a top 10 place. You say you’ve lived in several European countries but have you lived in all the countries i proposed as worth consideration, I think not, you’re just generalising. Ive lived in Europe for the last 37 years of my life and I know what Im talking about. Austria Czech republic and Hungary form a cultural historic heart of europe and are beautiful nations whilst Portugal and Italy offer a fantastic mediterranean lifestyle. @@bubi3875 hi bubi, i didn't understand your comment were you referring to the 10 listed countries in the video or the countries i offered as worthy of consideration. Where and how one makes money is really based on an individuals skill set and how well the earnings are managed. Western Europe may well be a good place to make money but it is becoming pricey with ever increasing taxes. If you want to make the most of your money living in eastern europe has many advantages such as cheaper land and houses, lower living and utility costs, less state interference, lower taxes. Once you get to know the country believe me there is money to be made. Its not a black and white issue thats for sure.
