Really, Odin? As much as I LIKED Odin, I thought Zeus was FAR MORE EPIC (especially when you consider he kills you in GOWII, you make it back to face him only to have the conclusion of your fight POSTPONED until GOWIII, and then his fight at the end of GOWIII goes through NOT ONE OR TWO but SEVERAL DIFFERENT PHASES).

It's had good thematic satisfaction, but gameplay wise, it was decent. It did allow you to use 2 companions at once which was nice but yeah, nearly every boss in GOW3 surpassed in spectacle and complexity and Thors fight just had more narrative weight really

I’ve never played God of War Ragnarok, but Jess is just wrong. I can tell that there are better final bosses in the God of War series, though I haven’t played any of the God of War games. Odin, is not a best final boss. But this is coming from Jess, the same person who got the entire backstory of Kirby and the Forgotten Land wrong and also said that all Zelda fans are stupid for being confused about the Zelda franchise having 3 timelines all thanks to Hyrule Historia when Hyrule Historia actually helped Zelda fans better understand the Zelda franchise’s 3 timelines. And considering that Jess claims she does her own research and doesn’t read off of a list made by someone else, that excuse is getting really old fast.

I can’t believe Sephiroth was not in the list. From Jenova, to all of the Sephiroth transformations, the to 1v1 Cloud vs. Sephiroth…. That fight was one of the best fights in gaming history. And the music stands to this day as one of the most memorable OST in gaming.

This is an okay list if you have only been gaming for the last 20 years. Where’s Kefka? Sephiroth? A ton of other bosses easily beat out many on this list. Mother Brain from Super Metroid is really the only one that makes sense to be here.

Nah. GoW:R didn’t have a good final boss. Odin was just, jump him. Mixed with a qte finisher you couldn’t fail. As a fan from the start of the franchise, that was weak. The Thor fights were way better.

I’ve never played God of War Ragnarok, but I can say that what Jess is saying is all entirely lies mixed with a side of not caring about other gamers. Like I’m playing The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and while I know that Ganondorf is the final boss, I haven’t fought him yet so she spoiled that Ganondorf would transform into a dragon. And this is coming from a KZbin Channel who NEVER issues a spoiler warning in their videos, and when they do issue a spoiler warning, it is rare. But this is miss says Zelda fans are stupid for being confused about Hyrule Historia showing the Zelda franchise has 3 timelines. Plus, What Culture Gaming are just trying to be rip-offs of OutsideXbox and OutsideXtra.

Without doing the dungeons it’s one of my favorite bosses ever. 21 phases overall. (4 army, 2 Colgera, 2 Gohma, 2 Shark, 2 Bug, 2 machine, 2 Ganonfort spirit, 3 Ganondorf physical, 1 dragon Ganon) I especially love doing the dungeon bosses there with vehicles and other constructed parts. It’s like 2 hours long on a successful victory but DAMN it’s fun. Like water race cars to fight the shark, tanks for Gohma, flying machines with lasers for Colgera, giant bug zappers for the bugs, etc. Feels like a perfect final fight that wraps up the game.

DMC3 is a prequel to DMC. The end of DMC3 shows basically how Virgil became Nelo Angelo. You got the timeline a bit mixed up in your description of DMC3 being right before 4 and then 5. DMC1 already confirmed Virgil was alive after DMC3.

Nothing against Vergil, but I think Dante makes a better fit, don't get me wrong absolutely loved thrashing Vergil as Dante, and Nero. But nothing compares to that last fight against Dante all the while Vergil's music is blaring off in epic fashion more so with how it starts, and with Dante going at it with his Sin devil trigger makes you feel powerful to survive the form you've used so often before.

There are a lot of best final bosses that can be mentioned, but a lot on this list aren't that great. Odin wasn't that great. He was just okay - but he wasn't hard. Multiple Final Fantasy games could have been here - especially Kefka from FF6, and Sephiroth from the original FF7, Isshin the Sword Saint from Sekiro (many have mentioned this) should definitely be here, Satan from Castlevania Lords of Shadow, etc. This list is always going to be subjective but it needed a lot more consideration than what was here.

Yes, definitely FF6 stands out with the final boss being incredibly memorable - how the music, dancing mad, shifts as you get higher and higher seeing the monstrosity Kefka has made. Lavos could also be on this last.

The Forgotten One, the end of DLC Boss from Castlevania: Lord of Shadows. Absolute nightmare that I'm still not actually sure how I beat. And I've never felt the need to face him again. 😅 Honourable mention, whilst not *technically* a "boss", Emil is the last fight you unlock in Neir Automata.... and what a fight it is. Visually epic and VERY challenging.

Truth be told, Odin, Thor, Heimdall... These bosses were weak and anticlimactic for the hype that engulfed them, Tyr was far more challenging, and of course Sigrun in Gow 2018, but those 3in ragnarok... I had such high expectations :/
