Is this necessary? Do you need an aesthetic Notion workspace to be productive, efficient and the best version of yourself? Absolutely not. But it’s fun so why not, right? Designing and adapting your tools to an aesthetic that you identify yourself with may not actually make you more productive but it does add some fun to the process, and identifying your work and study routine with a fun experience is always the best way to actually stay motivated to do your work.

I am 100% over the anti-aesthetic-notion folks. It's completely okay if you like keeping your Notion purely functional. Similarly, it's completely okay if someone else likes taking the time to make their Notion look pretty. Other people making aesthetic Notion pages doesn't invalidate the way anyone else uses Notion. Tip for those who want to use the gallery view. Use of page covers can sometimes slow Notion down while others don't like the page cover taking up so much space of the page. An alternative is to create a Files and Media Property called Cover Image and upload the cover image to that property. Under the gallery layout, you will now see an option to preview the cover image along with the page content and page cover options. The ideal sizing of that cover image is 500 x 500, or the Logo size in Canva. This would be especially helpful if you want the images to have text, like I like to do with having the name of the month in the image. Enjoy!

Wait, the playlist thing only lets you play songs for 30 seconds, so it is not very useful. Unless you have found a way to have spotify play full length songs from an embedded playlist? You will be a hero to the internet if you know how to do this.

only for the ppl that get caught up customizing it. just use it as a regular note-taking app and over time you'll add what's needed/what's wanted without getting caught up in the "it has to look fully aesthetic now before I can use it"
