You should try Monkey Special by Xerjoff. In my humble opinion, it accomplishes the same job as Carlisle but does it even better. It has that cinnamon note from Oajan as well.

Althair smells luxurious vanilla woman love it because they can wear it. But it doesn’t last long or get many compliments it just smells so good. But the dry down on Oajan is a beast

Herod is a beautiful scent, however, it has the weakest sillage and projection of any scent i have tried. I played around with the fragrance to know that It's definetly not anosmia or olfactory fatigue, it just becomes a skin scent rather quickly. Carlisle on the other hand is loud and has good longetivity, however, it's polarizing to many people. I can see why since it has a funky scent to it especially when you're dehydrated. To me though it's still a great fragrance.

Haltane is definitely good. so is Herod and Percival. Layton didn't do much for me at all neither did Carlisle. I'd def take layton over Carlisle though . There's several on that list I have to get my nose on.

I grabbed MULTIPLE 10ml decants of Sedley while it was hotter out, and I still have one left lol. I've also grabbed multiple of Oajan. Both are definitely high on my list of things to grab! - I have smelled Herod and I do enjoy it, but the stuff everyone else picks up is too weak to my nose in the top. Althaïr was my first grab (blind) and I also ended up getting a bottle of Carlisle, after trying it with the free sample from PdM. (: Atm the next frags I pick up are probably gonna be Oajan, Habdan and Sedley, in that order! (THEN probably Herod.) I only actually smelled eleven of their scents so far, but more of PdM has hit my nose than any other brand. They are absolutely my favorite, so far! I still have to try (not counting feminine scents) - Kalan - Kuhuyun(?) - Nisean - Akaster - Haltane - Galloway - Greenley - Percival - Darley - Byerly(?) Prpbably missing some, but going from memory not a list... Out of the others that I've tried, both of the Laytons are wonderful but I do prefer the Exclusif for my tastes. With Pegasus, I agree with the people who say it's more feminine; I wasn't a fan and gave my entire decant to my sister, lol. I loved Godolphin, and how it was on my skin and everything.....but I have had so many people tell me it smelled ehh or that they didn't like it..... I will end up getting a bottle, anyways, because it reminds me of my great grandfather in a unique way... I think overall PdM puts out fragrances that just hit perfectly on vibes of simplicity blended with sophistication; everything I have smelled from the house has evolved as I continued to smell it more, while still somehow remaining itself... Men wear Layton Exclusif. OG player fragrance. Fo sho. Layton is beautiful. Got a bottle in 2021. It's macerated into a hulk. Shiiiiiii. Longevity projection and sillage are off the map. Get strong wafts throughout the whole day. Ladies love it.

It doesn't project anywhere like Layton.. but if you spray Habdan on your chest, it will come up through your neck all day, and remind you it's there. It lasts, just doesn't project far.

@@b.johnathanwarriorinagarde7980 Yeah. I like Oajan, but I ended up getting Daniel Josier - Ambre Tabac instead. I got a great deal on it for $120 and the difference in quality wasn’t worth the $65-80 price difference to me. I do like Oajan though and got a 10 ml decant.

Oajan is straight up gourmand, whereas Layton is not a gourmand scent at all. Yes, it has apple and spices, but it also has prominent mint and woods, and I don't actually smell any apple pie in it.

I think of Layton as a fresh menthol spicy apple. Oajan as a bright cinnamon stewed apple. I love both, prefer Oajan, and they are very much different enough own both. Layton is definitely more versatile.

Folks! I went to arguably the biggest and best Niche store in Canada. The 20+ year expert perfumer said Estee Lauder replaced natural notes with synthetics in Initio, Tom Ford, PDM, Jo Malone, Le Labo. and the frags are much weaker with more alcohol. Ambroxan is amped up like crazy. If you smell right after 1st spray and it smells like gasoline that is ambroxan. I have over 10 bottles of these former companies. Why didnt the bottles say Reformulated or have Estee Lauder name ???

That's what kinda pisses me off, all these frag reviewers are smelling their old bottles 78%, telling us how good they are, when all we can get now are the 82% ones, and I am sure they're not the same. Keeps telling us how good that Oajan is but I have a 82% with the new lettering and its pretty low on my pdm list, doesn't really smell like what he is describing... All the established reviewers with old bottles keep misleading ppl.

Althair is the worst out of em all. Makes PDM look bad, my opinion. Guy at Neiman's sprayed it on me and I immediately went to the shower. 🤮 I'd rather wear Godolphin or Galloway and those are not good at all, lolol.
