Where to live in florida ? in this video we will show you the Best Places To Live In Florida.
Top 10 Reasons To Move To Florida - Why Everyone is Moving to Florida ? :
• Moving to Florida : To...
Choosing where to retire or to raise a family in the United States can be difficult - there are so many factors and options to consider! No matter whether you are looking for an adventurous retreat or a more peaceful one away from the hustle and bustle of the city, here are the 10 best cities to spend your retirement in Florida.
1- Jacksonville:
Nestled in the northeast of one of the most visited states in the United States, Jacksonville, the most populous city in Florida, offers all of the perks of a beach town with city life and southern charm. With warm temperatures all year round, Jacksonville is one of the best cities to live in Florida.
2- Fort Lauderdale:
Fort Lauderdale often has a reputation for being mobbed by young revelers during the Easter break, or a place for retirees; the truth is, Fort Lauderdale offers loads of amazing things to see and do, and an abundance of things to do like the city of Miami just 30 minutes away. If you want to hit the beach, admire celebrity homes, shop until you drop or savor some seafood, Fort Lauderdale is the place for you. Fort Lauderdale is one of the cheapest city to live in Florida.
3- Tampa:
Tampa Bay area of Florida has long been a favorite vacation destination for Northerners and families; and with so many fantastic attractions, who wouldn't want to visit it? The Tampa area is located on the central Gulf Coast of Florida and includes the cities of Tampa, St Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, and many other small coastal towns. The first attraction that comes to mind when talking about Florida is the beach.
4- Miami:
Miami is a dual city: it is separated by large bridges from the island of Miami Beach. The two have very different charms. And Miami includes a large number of neighborhoods of all styles and each colorful, worth a visit.
5- Orlando:
It is undoubtedly the world capital of amusement parks of all kinds, with the famous Disney and Universal parks in the lead, but in the midst of a multitude of others. The Orlando visit can be combined with a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral.
6- Sarasota :
Sarasota is an eclectic city with a strong urban dynamism that promises good times. The name alone, Sarasota, sounds good. The blue ocean of the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay contrasts with the white sands of Longboat, Lido and Siesta beaches. Look further and you will see that the ambiance is felt in the jungle landscape and the flowers that bloom all year round.
7- Fort Myers:
it's almost impossible to think of Fort Myers without considering the nearby Fort Myers Beach. Although they are two distinct municipalities, they together offer a blend of history, small town charm and beachside culture like you won't find anywhere else in Florida. Together, these two municipalities offer a long list of things to do for people of all ages and interests.
8- Daytona Beach:
Daytona is world famous for its races, especially cars and motorcyclists, the first of which took place in 1902 on its sandy beaches, and this for more than 50 years. These races have been held since 1959 at the Daytona International Speedway. Like most tourist spots in Florida, Daytona Beach is made up of a collection of small communities.
9- Coral Gables:
A night in Coral Gables can feel like a trip around the world. Known as City Beautiful for its wide avenues, neo-Spanish architecture, and charming palaces and landscaped parks with fountains, it is also home to an international arsenal of restaurants along the Miracle Mile.
10- Jupiter:
Appreciated for its magnificent beaches, Jupiter is a destination that is home to several remarkable sites such as Jupiter Beach or Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, one of the best places to live in Florida.

Port St Lucie on the Treasure Coast is beautiful and affordable. Moving from the North, we could have chosen any city, but we chose Port St Lucie and love everything about it. It is beautiful, close enough to the ocean, but you won't get storm surge here. We're 7 miles from the ocean but never had storm surge problems during hurrucane season. Close to I 95, you can easily find employment.

Hi Don! We have,neighbors from Minnesota who bought a pool home here but are Snowbirds like you would be., My college roommate of years ago and her husband bought a condo and the manager watches over it while they are up North for 6 months. It works out well for them. It's an individual decision but there is a definite housing boom going on here that is wonderful to see. Maybe talk to a real estate agent before you decide. I wish you all the best! We've never looked back since leaving PA.

How can you leave out the Palm Beaches? I know Jupiter is in PB County, but pretty much a rich enclave, where all types can live in WPB or PB. Compared to JAX, it is light-years better! Sarasota is deservedly on the list, for the West coast, and Tampa is really becoming a vibrant city! I love all that greater Miami offers, but pretty hectic to live there, and at times, you can feel like you are living in a foreign country. Naples/Marco Island is also very beautiful, and still within striking distance of Miami for big city culture, sports and entertainment.
@jdhjimbo
@jdhjimbo 3 жыл бұрын
I noticed that, too, as there was no description of JAX, and it is Florida's largest city proper, so way more than 129k residents. Miami is 7th largest urban area in USA, but city limits makes it smaller than JAX.

@@darlenepratt3967 I have not been to JAX recently, but it was #20 in overall crime, the ONLY GOP-run city in the top 20. I am sure rents have increased, as all of FL is getting a surge of new residents, but I doubt the rents are as high as greater Tampa or SE Florida, from the Palm Beaches to Miami. I was never that wild about JAX, but Ponte Vedra is nice, and I did have a good time in October 2006, staying at a downtown hotel, and taking the ferry over to the Gator Bowl for the FLA-UGA football game. Jacksonville Landing had some fun spots, too, but the neighborhood behind it (on the north side of the St John's River) was pretty rough. Avondale was a pretty nice area to live, but overall, I think there are much nicer places in FL, and JAX is far enough north to get the occasional cold snap that can hit northern FL some winters. If I were to live north, I would choose one of the Panhandle communities like Destin. I do understand the job market isxpretty good in JAX, so that is probably the lure, but the city has always had a sort of "hillbilly vibe" to me.

I have yet to read that the West side of Florida gets hit more often than the east side, something we definitely took into consideration before moving from PA to Florida. In the 9 years we've lived on the Treasure Coast in St Lucie, we were only grazed once by a hurricane but had no significant damage at all. Beware of moving to the Gulf side. Think about hurricanes.

I was born and raised in FL. I live in the panhandle 31 years and Destin and Panama City beach was one of the best places to visit and perhaps live. The Hurricane in 2018 severely damage Panama City but much of the city maybe repaired now, not sure. I moved to Ft. Myers in 2013, and it was pretty ok, there was less traffic and people. But Now!!!! In 5 yrs Ft. Myers has grown and its getting overpopulated. I live less than 15mins from beach and it took nearly 2 hours to get on the beach bcuz of the visitors, residents and snowbirds(extended visitors) here. I love my state and there is plenty to do and im close to major cities but everywhere is crowded. Im glad i will be out of school for the summer so I can get up early and enjoy more before the crowds get there, especially on weekdays.

My parents live in a gated, golf course community with a great country club, golf cart friendly and some houses overlook small lakes. $250K would buy a small single family home around 1,700 sq feet with 2 car garage. Jacksonville is biggest city land wise, too. We first saw Jacksonville in the 1960’s. I must say it has much improved since those days. We lived 42 years in Gainesville. Left there in 2007. It was a wonderful place to live while we were there, but it just isn’t the small quaint college town that it used to be.

I want to know the greenest, most lush towns and cities in Florida. I'm just sick of all these Florida cities that are almost entirely paved over in concrete, big box stores, expansive parking lots/ lawns and with giant commercial signs lining all the streets. It's so very ugly and makes it feel swelteringly hot/ polluted, and over commericalized. Nearly all of these videos only showcase the prettiest corners of the cities mentioned and ignore how overall ugly and littered these cities are. Coral Gables is an exception here. Coral Gables is just gorgeous, and super lush.

Jacksonville sucks. Tampa sucks. Miami used to be a paradise, now it sucks, and you need an interpreter. Daytona Beach sucks, a lot of weirdos there. Cocoa Beach is alright, but Cocoa sucks, it's a ghetto. Crime is getting worse in Ocala. Orlando was nice but it's now too crowded and expensive, and the crime is getting pretty bad. Punta Gorda is nice, as is Naples. Palm Beach is fantastic, but avoid West Palm Beach, it's bad.

This is a poor video. In the first minute, there are three glaring mistakes. Four distinct regions of Florida - Panhandle, Uplands, Everglades, and Keys? Where does the entire northern half of the Atlantic coast fit in? What about Tampa Bay region and southwest Florida? Also Florida is not the home of Mickey Mouse. Mickey has a vacation home here, but he is headquartered in, and from California. Then #1 is shown as Jacksonville, with a following description of Gainesville.
