One of my most successful plants is my Chilli plant. It just keeps on producing chillies. So far I have a large jar full of dried chillies (I've got a dehydrator) and I've been giving some to a friend. It shows no sign of slowing down. I do like curries which is just as well 😋

That's very nice. Yeah, most chilli plants are very productive.

Thanks for the list. My biggest producer so far is thai hot chillipeppers. 1 plant produces hundreds of peppers with maxigrow nutrients.

I don't like too much plant maintenance, so I am sticking with herbs for now. I love my lettuce basil and chives. Currently I am trying lemon balm and winter savory! I doubt the rosemary will cooperate though 😅

What is the best tasting tomato variety in the AeroGarden? I grew the Tiny Tim tomatoes and they were very bland and flavorless. I also am growing bell peppers that are doing very well.
@Dot0011 Жыл бұрын
I grew tiny Tim's kratky, the taste was ok but no where even close to outdoor tomatoes. It used a lot of nutrient solution for not that many tomatoes. I used general hydroponics growing in glass jars using syphons and a float valve to auto water.

Spinach and cilantro are easy seeds to sprout outdoors in soil. I wonder why it’s hard in hydro?
@aerogardenexperiments Жыл бұрын
Too much wet is one reason in hydroponics.

Thank for this great summary! Do you have any tips on getting the romaine lettuce to germinate? The seeds keep rotting in my Aerogarden pods before they germinate. What is the paper towel method? Do you have a video on that? Thanks in advance!
@aerogardenexperiments Жыл бұрын
Any lettuce seed variety is very straightforward to start. Just add a few extra seeds per pod. I always go with 3-5 seeds per pod and at least one of them will germinate. If you don't see them germinate within a week, then I think that batch of seeds are bad. I also had issues with a few batches of lettuce seeds and I had to throw them away.
@0e-michigan Жыл бұрын
@@aerogardenexperiments Thanks for the reply. I think that's what I'm seeing on the seeds. I'll try a different batch or maybe ask SeedsNow to replace them. Their other seeds like Tiny Tim that you recommend for small tomatoes have done very well.
