I loved your post. I have my grandfather's broad shoulders and my grandmothers lack of height...so I always look Big! My 'perfect' weight is 60-65kg.... I went on an obsessive diet and got down to 55kg!! I still looked so much bigger than all my friends because of my big bone structure, one of my friends didn't even believe me and asked me to get on the scales... she was a little size 8 and I was still a size 14..(Australian sizes) I was 55kg and she was 58kg. Everyone was suprised....I got really sick, because I was so underweight...and eventually I leveled out and went up to 75-80kg, where I feel comfortable and can eat reasonably (not starve) and not have to exercise every day for hours.. that went well for many years, then I had a back injury and I went up to 112kg!! I was massive and miserable, and gave up.... but I have slowly been regaining my mobility, swimming 3-4 times a week, already back down to 90 and want to get back to 80, which I'm happy, comfortable and healthy at.... but I view myself differently, I'm in a different era of my life, and I really don't know how to dress myself to suit me , the Now Me person....but I liked a lot of your tips, matching pieces, setting up an outfit...its been helpful xx thank you. Outstanding video, Oralia! It’s the TED Talk of plus size fashion! Watching your videos and seeing how beautiful you look in the outfits you put together has given me the courage to tuck in my top and add a belt. It’s a small thing but I was not only too subconscious about my belly to do that but had no clue how to make it look good. Seeing how you put things together and doing it myself, seeing I look nice, has given me a lot of confidence. My husband even commented recently that I’m carrying myself differently.

LOVE the outfits you showcased in this vid. Especially the one you’re wearing. I love cream, gold and black. And the maroon sweater dress - so nice with that belt. Yes on the belt. I always thought they didn’t work well for me. But if I get one that FITS properly 😅 they are fine. And tucking in the shirt does help with any pinching in the front from the buckle. Plus my pants are now held up and don’t look so saggy over the day. It does look more finished and just adds a touch you don’t get from a Jean button. Get yourself a good, basic leather belt. And if it’s reversible black to brown all the better. My most used one also came from Goodwill so check there!

Wearing a belt was the most important tip that I got from watching your channel for some time now. It’s when I get compliments as well. 😊 wait - the other tip was if loose on top then tight on bottom or the other way around. I always try to work with this rule.

The first color that came to mind was yellow - any shade. I love how it looks with teal and the navy is such a great compliment. Also, try wearing something like scarves, or jewelry to take away the heaviness of the navy.

I love belts, but it can be tough to find great styles of belts in plus sizes. Lots of cheap ones, but those don't last.

It is. Sometimes you can find some from Ralph Lauren at reasonable prices. Madewell is good too. And for designer, you can sometimes find them in sizes 100 cm +, I got mine from Nordstrom.

Anything really but especially rich, saturated colors look great with light grey. Some of my favorite combinations with are pink/plum, burgundy/maroon, and light blue.

I watch you all the time. I am only 5’2” and weigh 15 pounds too much. So I wear size 12 petite in pants and a large or even extra large top. I am not really a plus size yet, but I find your tips help me with putting things together . I would like to make a suggestion for your videos. Don’t cover your mouth when you are speaking. Attach your microphone to your collar to keep your hands below your face. Covering your mouth while speaking is a body language action indicating you are either telling lies, or don’t believe in what you are saying!
