Ontario's population is 14 million, Toronto is 3 million which is the population of Alberta. There are multiple cities outside of Toronto for affordable homes. There are numerous cities within these regions: Peel region, York region, Halton region, Durham region, Simcoe to name a few, just a stone throw away from Toronto.

The go to area today (early 2023) is southwestern Ontario…from Mississauga down to Windsor. The further you go southwest to Windsor housing is cheaper, particularly if you chose a village outside the city. A good example is London…..the city is surrounded by at least 9 villages. You can chose from Dorchester on the east, Lucan on the north side , Mt Brydges, on the west side, Belmont on the south side and many others in between.

I appreciate your honest , what you shared is way more useful, I live in a country which has age discrimination, there’s a unspoken rule, if ppl isn’t the management level who over 35 the companies lays off them , due to their population is huge, they don’t worry can’t find the replacement who is much younger, the govt doesn’t interfere such issues, coz too much companies did this, once ppl lays off they just can find the crappy jobs which just can maintain the basic living of cost like groceries and pay rents, it even can’t save money that’s why I want to move Canada, and I’m over 40 I really need a program to move to Canada coz the company gonna lay off me at anytime
